That aside, it's the elimination of his epiphany that I'm getting at. Turalyon overcame his caution and lack of confidence by way of a very strong religious belief based on the orcs being outside of Azeroth and ergo, not people. The follow-up to this instead has him as the voice of reason relative to Alleria and this has carried on to Turalyon being, at best, mildly stern, but ultimately obeisant to Anduin, i.e BTS, or more often, a complete wet blanket with no real beliefs with his wife carrying all the conflict and character. It's also why I figure it's Golden, because Rosenberg's the guy who wrote that as Turalyon's core character moment in the prior book.
Am I the only one who found this epiphany he had always off and contrary to what his character was supposed to represent? Especially since he immediately after moves on to sparing Doomhammer and the Orcs either way. He always came off more as the sensitive one of the 5 OG Paladins, Saidan being the radical hardliner, Tirion and Uther being the traditionalists originally and Gavinrad...existing. I guess he was somewhat of a pretentious prick.

Based on how Turalyon is portrayed before and after his epiphany, I'm betting that this moment was an accident on the writer's part. It seems Rosenberg didn't think it through. But who knows? Danath was also portrayed as being obsessed with revenge just like Alleria, but now he proudly speaks of tolerance. All I'm saying is that these characters are so old that writers can basically do whatever they want with them. ToD and BtDP novels are close to 17 years old, and a lot has changed since then. And of all the Sons of Lothar, Turalyon is the most inconsistent. One moment he calls the orcs savages, the next he happily drinks beer with Eitrigg.

I fully expected Arator to get a custom model in Midnight, I hope it is more human with some slight elf features than a buff elf. Like Kalecgos but blonde.
    This, is why i fucking hate when people start introducing half-races in fantasy and dont know how to proper insert then in the world;

Now we as players need to answer your question, my answer with my biology background? years and years after breeding among themselves it reached a point the arathi became their own thing and the population end up stabilizing to look more like humans, probably due to having more humans than elves overall, so human genetics would be more present.

While the arathi would be, by example, son of a half-elf and a human, or a half-half-half-elf and a half-elf, Arathor is the son of a full elf and a human, retaining more of the elf characteristics.

Same way rexxar looks less of an ogre, because he is just 1/4 ogre, but his father(2/4) would look more like one.

There isn't much difference between humans and thalassian elves tho. Only glowing eyes, pointy ears and pointy eyebrows. For example Wrathion's visage is canonically human, but his model uses blood elf animation.

I mean it'd be more "These creatures are not interfertile and even if they were their children would likely be sterile"

But, the story has been complete dogshit since she became a head writer (I realize she's been gone a year or so now)

    It's not, not a coincidence....
Reminders as it always comes up when Golden does.

She was never on the story or in game lore team her job was to write cinimatics short story’s and books across all blizzard games at the direction of the actual games story teams.
All I ever wanted was the truth. Remember those words as you read the ones that follow. I never set out to topple my father's kingdom of lies from a sense of misplaced pride. I never wanted to bleed the species to its marrow, reaving half the galaxy clean of human life in this bitter crusade. I never desired any of this, though I know the reasons for which it must be done. But all I ever wanted was the truth.

I can actually see it being Tirion. That or a new Naaru:

hey look, it's the author who ruined half of the Warcraft character roster

bringing to us the elf heretic-traitor, snores-mc-goodytwoshoes, and their son whom nobody cares about

gee I wonder what new atrocities will spring of this garbage

Oh man, someone still thinks she had free reign over warcraft lore?
10 year old account makes this even more hilarious, and a bit sad.

People complaining about people claiming she had free reign over WoW lore: at least they're making it clear we can instantly disregard their opinions on the story.

There is enough difference to be recognisable at first glance, you dont look at an elf and think is a human

Confirmed, Turalyon is a Kul Tiran Witch.

Because that's exactly how Turalyon was written by Metzen. Even in the Beyond the Dark Portal novel (also co-written by Golden), he was already stern and distant.
