When: June 3 through July 14
Where: Queue up solo or with a group of friends through Xyggie Marou in Dornogal, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind
    Requirements: Level 80

Steel your nerves and begin your adventure by visiting an event hub located in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dornogal. Queue up with Xyggie Marou and prepare for intense matches against pairs of legendary bosses.

    Mega-Mayhem Means More Madness

Four available bosses storm the stage in week one, with more joining the madness each week, culminating in a full roster of 10 chaotic boss encounters before the event ends. With new bosses being added, the pool of possibilities is endless.

More bosses mean more points, and the more points you earn in combat, the higher your chances of taking your place on the podium. No matter where you place, the Prize Chest at the end of a Dastardly Duo match is yours and contains Warbound Veteran-track gear and other rewards to go along with your bragging rights.

Diving into the Dastardly Dome solo or with less than five in your group? Volunteer NPCs will automatically fill in to help. That is unless you're trying for a more challenging fight to earn those sweet points, then you can dismiss them.

Vinnie Sweets' Weekly Quests with Roughhousing Rewards

Each week during the event, Vinnie will dole out a fresh quest starting with "Who are the Dastardly Duos?" for a sweet Dastardly Prize Purse containing Champion-track gear and a Dastardly Banner toy.

New rewards are available each week; continue to earn a Dastardly Prize Purse and new loot upon completion of the latest weekly quest, like the illustrious Winner's Podium toys and the spicy Mean-Ball Ball Bag pet. You can even ride astride atop the coveted Tyrannotort's Treat mount from the "They've Heard of You!" quest on week four.

You'll always be number one with the Winner's Podium toy! Bask in the glory of your eternal victory.

"Vinnie Sweets kept this rare, albino turtle a secret, saving until it was time to help promote Dastardly Duos."

Here’s the reward rollout alongside the Dastardly Prize Purse:

    • Week 1: Dastardly Banner toy
    • Week 2: Winner's Podium toy
    • Week 3: Mean-Ball Ball Bag pet
    • Week 4: Tyrannotort's Treat mount

    Buff Up Before Your Battle

Before you start the fight, be sure to fill up on food and drink buffs from the Craft-Service Table, Wodin the Troll-Servant (wears many hats and also serves as a reward vendor), or the drink shelf:

    • Beefy Burger (Craft-Service Table):
      • Increase damage done by 15%
      • Decrease damage taken by 15%
    • Hearty Haunch (Wodin the Troll-Servant): Toughen up!
      • Physical damage taken reduced by 80%
      • Magical damage taken reduced by 40%
      • Damage done reduced by 40%
      • Threat generation increased by 600%
    • Vial of Healing: Gain 8% health every 6 seconds.
    • Bottle of Invisibility: Turns the player invisible.
    • Can of Amps: Increases speed by 50%.

Foods that increase the challenge to boost your score in the dome:

    • "Challenging" Shrimpy Fish (Craft-Service Table):
      • Decrease damage done by 40%
      • Increase damage taken by 40%
      • Kill and Survival bonus: x2
    • "Challenging" Hot Dog (Wodin the Troll-Servant): x2 Kill and Survival Bonus, but sometimes you get gassy…

Up the Ante to Intensify the Fight

A regular run of Dastardly Duos delivers two bosses at once in each wave, but during the fight, right-click a Cherry Bomb to place a green target on the ground. Defeat any bosses or other mobs in that ring to earn a double score. Other items to help earn you more points include:

    • Burner Clock: Adds 30 seconds back to the Dastardly Duos clock.
    • BIG Burner Clock: Adds 60 seconds back to the Dastardly Duos clock.

Starting week three, you can use the Horn of Calling to summon an additional boss, but be careful; if a member of your party simultaneously blows their Horn of Calling, the chaos could be catastrophic with three or more bosses at the same time!

Catapult yourself into the chaos of the Demolition Dome now—we look forward to seeing you deliver your best during Dastardly Duos!

do you not have alts? or collect transmog?

Stuff that comes from delve. I would find an ilvl chart really fascinating for people who actually play the game. Like, say, 3 hours per week or something. If that's all you did, you could still easily be decked out in hero track gear by now.

So they rebranded brawlers guild for some reason, and additionally made it timegated. Bravo.

Is everything they do now designed around FOMO? Do they really think this is what will bring subs in during a lull before the next xpac? No fucking way will I sub for a month just to do this in the date range it will be active.

just did a few rounds. its pretty fun. there are different food buffs you can get, and bosses spawn gears u click which can increase ur time / spawn more ads and stuff. my highest score is 407k right now, but i think theres a lot of optimization to be had

also , it scales u up/down to 619, so there might be some old trinkets or proc items that can be really OP if scaled up to 619

Now? WoW's business model has been fomo for a very long time.

Gear that starts at ilv 636 and can be upgraded to 658 in pve. At this point it is a good start for fresh alts and cheap, but ofc we could already get that from the Nighfall scenario as BoP and even warbound drops (I think from Delves is where I got some). But also the Undermine World Boss has dropped warbound Champion gear since the patch dropped.

Well, ppl complained about content draughts for ages. Now we have faster patch and mini patch cycles. Obviously people still complain. First it was "Nothing to do", I guess now it is "Boring / no content / bad rewards / rehashed / not what anyone asked for etc..."

One day Blizzard will find the sweet spot (haha...not)

Well fuck this shit. I just wanted to do the weekly quests for the mount, but if they make it this much pain in the ass will not bother.

i mean the scaling is fine , its not like the event is hard to do

I’ll probably do the weekly quests for the rewards. Outside of that, this doesn’t seem that interesting. Maybe if I could get 4 other guildies to join me, but that’s probably not possible with all the things we do already.

Oh, so anyone of the eligible level can hop in and basically be on even ground? If so, that's cool. Been playing other games and I only been hopping on for Traders Post so I'm just a TAD bit behind :V

If anyone who plays the game for only 2 hrs PER WEEK is such an awesome person, they wouldn't even need Gilded crests anymore.

But other than that...yeah...even a choice of crests (like at the vault) would have added to this event. I think I kinda like one of the pets...but I might give this a pass like I am giving HV a pass.

To be fair: You absolutely can log in every week for 2h, do 4 m+, and be fully decked out in 681/4 now. That's pretty much describing half my guild (or rather half my guild's characters).
If that's representative is another question I have no interest to discuss, but it is possible for sure.
