Should the burnt Teldrassil return as an end-level zone?

Seeing that Teldrassil is now just a smoldering, burnt tree, There's not much use for it nowadays in the game. I don't even think its' accessible.

Yet a giant tree that is big enough to have a zone above it is such a great concept that I think its worth going back to, especially now that the NElves (in the lore) have a new home so they don't really need to settle in Darnassus or Teldrassil. Also, I never liked how Teldrassil in the game was always an ugly giant stump and not really how it was actually portrayed in the lore.

I think a new, revamped Teldrassil that is reimagined by Blizzard as an ACTUAL now creepy-looking burnt tree would be really badass. This can give Blizzard some good story telling opportunities with the corruption of Teldrassil, maybe a new threat can arise from the smoldering ruins of Teldrassil?

A burnt Teldrassil can be a very dark and dangerous end-zone, filled with tormented souls of those that died in the burning of Teldrassil, corrupted essences of Teldrassil that have seeped into the surface from within the Tree, surviving elementals, maybe even new threats that are going back there to resettle the land. (satyr, harpies, etc)

Actually great idea but it took Blizzard 18 years to glue together Eversong and Eastern Kingdoms. Most likely it will remain as a jpeg skybox for the next decade.

But now that I think about it, Blizzard might actually keep it as it is just to use it as an excuse why every expansion and story line should be centered around alliance from now on.
    Stay awhile and listen

Did they? AFAIK the original Ghostlands and Eversong Woods remain still separated by a loading screen (and different server)

They are referring to how Midnight's revamped zones won't be instanced off from the mainland any longer.
    You just lost The Game

I mean, fair, but then that's poor wording on their part since they mentioned 18 years, and the only Eversong Woods zone that existed 18 years ago is the current (pre-Midnight) zone.

No, it should remain a starting zone for new Night Elves.

It can be both with the power of the bronze dragonflight.

I don't want it as a endzone, especailly not dark with tormented mobs like what you find in the Maw. We already have way too many such zones in the game.

Cool idea, but it probably won't happen.

At this point I am not sure what they have planned with the Night Elfs tbh. For some yet unknown reason they decided that the Night Elfs should resettle and build their capital on the Dragon Isles, so this could mean that Teldrassil is just gone forever. I suppose a story like this could work if they stayed on Kalimdor (which they technically still do... but again they are building their new capital and center on the other side of the world).

Me neither but I think because of Eversong being an end zone now, that won't happen for the rest of the zones either.

I'd rather leave it be, tbh. Going there and finding lots of dead burned skeletons, the scorched ruins of places night elf players love and remember, would probably be pretty damn depressing for a lot of people.

I think it would be pretty cool to have the Burning of Teldrassil as a Caverns of Time-style dungeon, where the PCs would be present when the tree was being set ablaze. Key goals would be to rescue specific people key to the timeline (perhaps even antagonists who need to survive the event to go on to future storylines), with antagonistic forces being elemental creatures summoned by the heightened rage and hatred that accompanied the act, and perhaps some of the Mawsworn there to see the job to its completion and/or make it so much worse to ensure the bounty of souls delivered to the Maw.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

What... yeah... TBC came out 18 years ago... so... it took Blizzard 18 years to glue together Eversong and Eastern Kingdoms

I always though that the Yaungol would be quite interested in the Burning Teldrassil, it goes really well with their fascination of Fire and some of the religious believe that we have seen of them, so I think it could be interesting to have them try to take Teldrassil for themselves (or maybe they did already, as they may have an easier way to move through the fire remains of Teldrassil than the NEs)

Would be a great satyr hideout tbh.

I missed all of BfA. Burning down Teldrassil was something I regret missing out on, I would be so stoked for this idea.

I'd be content if they made it accessible. It doesn't need to be a relevant, endgame zone or anything. Just the burnt husk of a zone. Should be easy enough to make. And it would make sense that there are no NPC spawns there and nothing to do.

I like this idea. Particularly with the new allied race’s zone existing at the “confluence of the world tree roots” or whatever. A passageway from their zone up through the roots of Teldrassil, coming up to a tree scarred with fire and shadow magic.

Could be a good place to explore with Alleria if we happen to end up fetching a certain banshee back, Illidan-style.
