I think we have brand new coloured nameplates in midnight to tell you what class your facing. Bikini or not.
Remove the armor type restrictions but keep class sets unique per class.
ESO had this since its inception, I think Guild Wars 2 also, FF14 is just now doing this,
WoW is the only one left. Let's do it!!
Delete weapon restrictions altogether with the exception of daggers because of unique attack animations.
There is no reason for a shaman or evoker not to equip a polearm, or a fire mage an axe. or a necromancer unholy dk with cloth and a staff.
All current 2h and 1h weapon transmog restrictions should be available to all classes, rogues are a unique case solely because their animations are so focused on daggers, except outlaw.
I think Blizzard just can't do it at this point.
We can already hide every piece of gear, and tank in underwear, and equip plate armor ensembles on mages, like the Headless Horseman set, so Blizzard refusing to allow any class to transmog any armor type, seems to be more of a game engine limitation than Blizzard's stubbornness, they just can't make an armor type be transgmoggable into another armor type if it wasn't tagged as "cosmetic armor" from its creation, same reason why we can't have dyes in the game because an item's color can't be changed once it exists in the game with that color, and a new item would have to be created in order for it to have its color changed.

I remember when people asked to upgrade the main bag, cus it was so small. Idk how many years I have heard there are technical limitations. This is way to big for them if we go past the bag.
