it is incredibly faster than MoP tbh. just by focusing on the meta quests, one can easily max out a character in a day without even trying, considering having a main with some exp boost under his belt, that is.

Like others, I'd say in purely the leveling sense it is better. Once you get to 400% XP. Then your intro Artifact quest gets you from 10-20. You can get from 20-45(ish) doing just 1 Normal Emerald nightmare run and the rest of the way with a Nighthold normal and couple of quest.

Each Research quest is worth roughly 5 levels, so I got to 80 in about 2 hours of casual play.

Obviously getting to 400% XP is where it is a bit of a grind. If you're just starting the process, you might not even notice until you get the 4th or 5th alt done, each toon to 80s gives you another 10% XP boost. So depends how many alts you plan to have on whether you find it much better.

You can do also 3 (or 6, dunno right now) Daily Quests with Eternus per Char. Each one gives 1% accountwide Experience gain.
While it doesnt look like much, it is is overall quite a bit.

This. Took me 3 hours approximately to go from 10 to 80 and I spent a fair chunk of time doing artifact quests. If I’d zerged dungeons I reckon 2 hours, maybe 2 and a half depending on queue times though

Edit; the way I would do it is this:

Skip the intro quest, pick up the class hall quest. Go grab 3 infinite research quests from Eternus, prioritise “do normal/heroic dungeon using group finder” and the one where you have to finish two quests, kill a boss and 15 enemies.

Go do the artifact weapon quests, reason you do is because that unlocks a whole bunch of “skipped” quests which give you a lot of xp. Then do whatever dungeon you have a quest for, turn it in and get the same quest you did before. If it’s not there, use the item that refreshes the quests. Just keep spamming dungeons to finish whatever dungeon quest you have

Then as you level up you will get additional special quests like kill 10 bosses, kill 200/250 enemies etc. level 70 you do a quest which gives you another xp % boost on top of what you already have

I was level 50 on my 2nd alt before I realized i still haven't equipped any rings necks or trinks, and mobs died so quick it didnt even matter.

Did all 12 classes by doing just class campaigns (+ few bazaar daily when xp bonus was smaller). Not only got more achievs (and I heard there is another one for doing 7.2 class content on all classes) but also shit ton of bronze (every char was around 100k + 20k saved for mount) without spaming same raids every day.

It caps at 400% but yea it's still a crazy high cap.

Slowly working through the Bringing Order to the Isles achievement, got 4 down and 8 to go.

10-80 took about 6 hours on my rogue pretty much focusing the Class Hall quests.

To point out that switching to heroic world tier adds another static 500% xp bonus to an overall of (up to) 900%.

While it might not be feasible for all specs to quest in heroic tier, you should always activate it if you level through dungeons/lfr only, as it affects the dungeon (world) quests/dailies as well. Or the simple turn in quests after gaining your artifact weapon where the campaign is skipped.

Its faster than mop if u have XP maxed out. takes me less than an hour to hit max.

If you have a second account, or someone is willing to help you, it's even faster. I leveled all my AFK alts on the Eye of Azshara outdoor version, my main was doing all the killings. This was around 350% to 400% increased XP with 600+ IP.
