I have 953 mounts on my paladin (I assume the class with most exclusives?) and 1008 total

I love how people are complaining about this when this is actually a decent recolor of a kinda rare mount (until Mythic becomes solaoble that is) yeah sure it's only 600 reward. They never really have made the mount achievements insanely out of reach, even the 500 mount achievement was released when about 800 were available.

People just bitch to bitch. This happens every time they add a new mount collecting achievement.

I think a lot of us commenting on the threshold aren't really complaining, just acknowledging that it's an odd choice. Collecting in WoW is a minigame for a lot of people, so it's kinda a bummer to reintroduce an achievement people have been asking for for a long time, but do it at so low of a threshold that most people will get it just by logging on, at least if it's the only threshold being added. If it was one of a bunch of new tiers, that would make way more sense.

Within reasonable reach is fine -- in fact I think the numbers should be geared towards something that more casual collectors can hit but may need to farm up a few new mounts for -- but "already obtained years ago and got on patch morning when you logged in" isn't really much of an achievement, and doesn't add any sort of fun carrot to the people that like those carrots.

I mean, I'll take the free owl because its my fav colour and owls are rad, but I'm also not a person who is serious about either achievements or collections. I do think it's a weird choice on Blizzard's end that doesn't really add much and isn't really serving the functions that achievements or collections are meant to serve to players as minigame objectives.

It's a shame it won't be a druid form. I'd give anything to have this flight form.

As a mount collector, my feelings exactly. They've been really lax about these achievements now for years and 600? People have had that for quite a while already. People are pushing close to 1,000 now. They need to actually put in more at higher quantities. This should have been 750, that would have been huge, for example.
