New Reward for Collecting 600 Mounts: Anu'shalla, Shadow's Guidance
Midnight brings a new collection achievement that requires obtaining 600 mounts on a single character. The reward for completing this achievement is Anu'shalla, Shadow's Guidance, a void-themed owl reminiscent of Anu'relos, Flame's Guidance from Amirdrassil.

...this. Only a mount for 600 mounts? There's apparently approximately 12.500 accounts, just in EU, just on 1 app tracking this data, who are within easy reach of 700 mounts or more.

Considering the effort that goes into making content with far less interaction have new mounts, I feel like throwing another nice recolour out there for 700 mounts would have been nice here.

Cause by the time The Last Titan rolls around, we will very legitimately be at a point where 800 mounts is not a crazy achievement to add, and it feels like we might be permanently behind on this now.

Since the trading post we are getting 1-2 new mounts every month, plus many mounts per expansion as usual and then a bunch more in the remix events. They need to update this achievement faster as we're getting like 100 mounts per year without much effort as long as we play the game.

I go hard when it comes to collecting mounts and I have 1045 according to data for azeroth. by the time Remix is finished that will probably be around the 1070 mark. first patch of Midnight will increase that to 1100. by the time TLT comes out I will probably be on 1200, assuming we get another Remix. sure, I'm a collector and so have more than the average Joe but is that not who these achieves are for? the collectors?

I like how Ion said in a recent interview that recolor mounts for this achievement are lame and they have plans for cooler ones going forward or something along those lines

And then they proceed to do a purple recolor of this mount....

I mean, it always is? That's part of the attraction to me in these mounts, you get otherwise unseen recolours, like the Fel Firehawk.

Yeah, it's a recolour, but it's a recolour of a mount that I think there's only one other of, and it was for a promotion (I have it and it says "in game shop" but I've not bought a shop mount so I assume it was a six month or year sub promo), so I don't think it's a bad choice. The purple looks rad, but I'm also owl biased.

That said, 600 is definitely way too low since it's been since, what, BFA? that they last added a mount achievement. Even as someone who isn't a motivated collector, I have almost 1k mounts myself by now.

I dont have a version of that one, and this color rocks. Pretty good reward imo as its a rare skin.

Okay, then there's two. There's also a white and blue owl classed as a "shop mount" which I believe was a subscription promotion reward.

Apparently I have 725 mounts - but ofc Blizzard's in-game counter is just useless...so I probably have 599

im at 893 and between wrapping up tww and legion remix - ill be well over 900. Gonna for sure hit 1000 by the end of Midnight. ( at that point, just gonna go after mounts i really want. Not really worry about farming endlessly.

Where is the 800, 1000, 1200 and 1500 mounts achievement? I'm already at 1216 rn and would like to have something to grind up for.

I love doomposting with the rest of them but
this mount looks good, its just an extra one at the 600 mount count.

At a certain point.. step back.. take a breathe.. cut your Karen hair and be happy for the bonus you got for virtually nothing you'll do differently tomorrow as opposed to today.
