    Keybinds in Cooldown Manager?

Seeing as there's no official support for this feature yet, does anyone know of a way to display keybinds in the Cooldown Manager? I play a lot of specs and my memory isn't the best so I need to be able to see my keybinds there, otherwise the entire Cooldown Manager is next to useless for me.

I tried to make a feature request for this on the official forums but as far as I'm aware, I'm very much in the minority with this. Meaning my best option is to look to addons for a solution, hopefully one that still works in Midnight.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but CD manager is the dumbest feature, since we have action bars lol?

your action bar shows temporary buffs?
From Ancient Terra the Emperor commands His Proud Sons.
From revered Blood-stock these Warriors are made His Proud Sons.
No fear they shall know as Adeptus Astartes, His Proud Sons.

I've always considered action bars the "back end". It's where I set up my binds and what not, but other than that they're not something I usually look at or interact with. WeakAuras and Cooldown Manager function as the "front end" that display the relevant info in an orderly fashion... and keybinds missing from this equation is problematic to say the least. Most of the time I've played with my action bars hidden completely to make the most out of my monitor's real estate.

edit: just checked it, it seems like they improved on the previous iteration, but it still isn't complete with trinkets for now

It's such a new feature, and until recently very limited, it's weird you found that more useful than the action bars, which can be modified in any way and in no way worse than the simple cd tracker without the buff tracking.

I never said I found the Cooldown Manager useful. WeakAuras were useful, this bastardized Blizzard® version of it is still lacking most of the basic functionality. But you'd be shooting yourself in the foot using WeakAuras now considering they're going away very soon. So all we can do is get used to the shittier official version as soon as possible.

CD manager doesn't show keybinds or anything else beyond the icon and CD timer.

You would probably be better off by building your post-Apocalypse "WAs" with your action bars. They are more versatile ans customizeable than the travesty that is the CD manager and that way you can see the keybindigns there too.

Maybe overlay tools are the way to go for features like this. I was able to use PureRef and Microsoft PowerToys to get a very rudimentary overlay of my keybinds placed on top of the Cooldown Manager. Don't get me wrong, this looks like absolute shit and is not something I would actually use. But it's a proof of concept.

I did try this initially but I've noticed it's causing a lot of issues when playing multiple specs, some of which require very different ability layouts. I would have to create so, so many different HUD layouts and be constantly swapping between them when changing specs as opposed to having just one "back end" set of action bars + Cooldown Manager.

It's how I currently use it. The addon AdiButtonAuras shows (de)buff durations on the relevant action bar buttons. I rather glance at my bars at the botton than have stuff in the middle of my viewport.

This will break for combat stuff in 12.0, so I'm hoping the Cooldown Manager will allow a way to emulate that.
But your duty to Azeroth is not yet complete. More is demanded of you... a price the living cannot pay.

    Try https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addon...manager-tweaks
It doesn't have what you are asking for yet, but an addon creator is more likely to consider it and add it than Blizzard is.

Just tell chatGPT what you want and it will make an addon for you. Just say you want it 12.0 wow lua proof and avoid all secretvalues.

It might ask you to do an /fstack on a frame or two
