    The Midnight Beta Test is Now Live!


    New systems, the complete leveling experience, zones, dungeons, delves, Housing, and the new playable Haranir and Devourer Demon Hunter are all available in the beta. Raid testing will come at a later time. As with the alpha test, we’ll be adding content through the initial weeks and running focused tests as needed. Keep an eye on the test forums for more information.

    Over the course of the test, we'll be inviting community veterans, press, fansites, friends, and family to check out the upcoming expansion and give us feedback. Players who pre-purchase or who upgrade to the Epic Edition of Midnight will also gain access to the beta.     Combat Philosophy and Addon Disarmament in Midnight!


    "As we move into the beta phase of Midnight testing and invite a much larger wave of players in to experience the expansion and provide feedback, I wanted to take time to recap the planned changes to addon capabilities and the accompanying broader changes to combat and encounters.     Midnight Prologue: “The Warning” Content Update Goes Live December 2!


    With the Ghosts of K’aresh behind us, Azeroth stands on the precipice of a future overshadowed by Xal’atath and the relentless advance of the Void. In "The Warning", the stage is set for what comes next before continuing the story in the Midnight expansion. Players will also be welcomed home with the start of Housing Early Access for those who have pre-purchased the expansion!

    Stake Your Claim with Housing Early Access and Come Home December 2!


    With the release of the “The Warning” Midnight Prologue content update, players who have purchased any edition of the Midnight expansion can join a neighborhood, purchase a house, and start customizing their new home with Housing Early Access! If you don’t have Midnight yet, don’t worry. You’ll still be able to begin adding to your Housing collection through a variety of activities and achievements, or by purchasing them from vendors throughout Azeroth.

    It is crazy to me they are monetizing the ability to beta test.

    Back then this was a paid job, now you have to pay them to help them find bugs

    It's not really anything new at this point. It just supposes the question of who is worse: Blizz for charging people to test their content, or the people who pay Blizz to test their content? As long as people pay, there's no incentive for Blizz to not charge people to test their game. While some may say "But other games charge for beta access!", I feel that a F2P game is much more acceptable to charge for testing as it requires a revenue stream... but any game that actually charges for their game (especially with a subscription on top of it) gets a lot less leniency for charging for testing.
