Thinking about all that dev time being taken up by housing bullshit while actual combat gameplay has been stale as fuck for ages is too depressing

Unless they put in a reason for everyone to be asking for multiple Work Orders every second day, the achievements for every profession to have 50 work orders complete... are one of the stupidest things ive ever seen...

Theres barely 1 work order a day available publically... competing with other people just because they need 50 is going to make this next to impossible, and when the expansion is no longer new, no chance.
(unless you just have your alts ask for small work orders 50 times, which is in itself a stupid thing to basically require to get this done, these have been designed to fail almost immediatly)

yeah that "housing bullshit" that has been asked for by millions of players for decades. Yeah, because clearly the only thing preventing perfect combat design was someone placing a virtual chair. Housing is being done by a different subset of devs. Combat hasn’t been ‘stale’ because someone was busy modelling a lamp — those aren’t the same people (in fact i heard a whole new team was recruited for the process)

combat gameplay has been the best part of wow for multiple years now, if not forever lmao

Also you realize the people who work on housing stuff aren't the same people that work on combat gameplay right? Of course you did.

Didn't they want to add a feature for housing where you can set up an already decorated room (like a template) or was this only a pre-alpha thing?

Because tbh I have 0 motivation to build my "perfect" house from scratch. It just feels too much like a job, requires a lot of back and forth (because you are running out of decor) and it looks shit anyways. I would rather have the option to get a bunch of prebuilt rooms (I am fine with that if in order to place them you need to have the right decor) and then customize them to my liking afterwards, rather than starting from scratch.

You know housing is a different team and they didn’t pull resources from the other teams right
