Russell not on the podium with that rocket ship is an utter disgrace.
Guts dropped into my butt when the SC came out, but I'm very pleased with Oscar getting a podium in his "first" race.
If the McLarens can be reliable, maybe they can chip away at Ferrari in the WCC. Hopehopehope.

Even the FIA sees that this can't continue any longer. The qualifying adjustment for Japan was a big nothing burger. The Bearman crash was exactly what most drivers warned about, except Russell, who all of a sudden wasn't that vocal after this race. Could've ended a lot worse for Ollie. 99% of the overtakes today were due to shitty starts are immediately undone on the next turn. FIA knows they must intervene because a lot of fans will turn their back at the sport. If people wanted a glorified Formula E, just take a look at that viewership or empty stands during those race weekends.
Since the mid eighties I've been watching every practice, qualification and race if they were on TV. This year I have to do my best to convince myself to watch the race.
The only thing they did right was the aero part this year.
Didn't watch the race, I only caught the Bearman crash, absolutely preposterous. He got lucky he got out mostly intact.
Imagine a crash by avoiding a car in front that moves 30% slower out of a blind turner at death traps like Baku or Monaco, because of "new rules". Driver would probably end up either dead or severely injured. We are honestly lucky it happened at a safe part of Suzuka, and even that one was sketchy.
I would lawyer up if I were Bearman in all honesty. Fuck the FIA.

Max Verstappen loses right-hand man Gianpiero Lambiase to McLaren
Slightly dramatic title since its not happening until 2028, but that's a big deal in my book. Big deal for Max, too, tbh.
