Diablo 2 LOD story was an amazing story stitched together with an amazing gameplay, characters (the classes) and with a badass ending (The barbarian lands) and enemies worth fighting. A game that was original in design, music and cinematics that actually inspired you to play.
But what the fuck is even Diablo IV?. A wicked game that regurgitate characters from Diablo 1 and 2 (Same mistake done by Diablo 3), with a story that lacks in being original and a worthy plot to continue where Diablo 2 LOD left. All of the story was about a love story between an angel Inarius and a the demon Lilith and creating "Sanctuary" as the result of that mating season. WTF....
Last I remember the story was about Diablo, Baal and Mephisto desire to conquest and destroy humanity and their world. But in order to do that, they needed the way to access the human world. And to do that, they used soulstones corrupted by them socket into human skulls for them to have bodies.
For real, just by watching in Youtube the cinematics of Diablo IV makes me want to puke, compared to the badass story line in Diablo 1 and 2. I can't believe people pay for such a bad game that it is nothing more than a twisted version of what Diablo games used to be. And their main story. Also, who the fuck cares about Lilith, where is Diablo? The reason why the name is called like that. A fucking mess of a game in terms of story. I can't speak about the gameplay, but i'm not giving Blizzard another cent, after the failure of Diablo 3 and Jay Wilson.
Edit: They couldn't create more new bosses aside of reusing Andariel, Duriel and the Butcher?. For fuck sakes, what a lack of imagination from the writers...

I love this review, is really accurate:
"Great game, but it's designed entirely as a money trap. The amount of microtransactions for a game costing €50 is insane."
For some reason i dont enjoy Diablo 4 i had a good time back in diablo 2 and 3 but for some reason i cant ghet into this game.
Also decor items dont have the same pull on me as mounts of transmog sets so yeah not buying this.
p.s. why is it a paladin when in the Diablo IP they are called Templar.....
Oh..I wasn't aware of the microtransactions and especially not of them being so bad. Re-using bosses but not Diablo...yeah..not very imaginative...so now Mephisto is back. I never made it past level 46 in D3...but IIRC that was more due to playing so much WoW. Which is why I am mostly hesitant about buying D4.
Eh, D4's fine playing it first time around for sake of doing the campaign, side quests and lore.
I just ignore the mtx which are just cosmetics iirc [not sure if you need to pay to unlock more stash slots].
I don't bother with the seasonal and end game stuff as it's a horrendous grind for mats to do RNG rerolls.
I admit my fingers always twitch over the "buy" button, when the game is on sale - even better in a bundle with the x-pac. So who knows....I can easily wait until April. see if there are any deals...and if not...wait for August or whenever the first big bundles with all x-pacs comes out.

Is it, though? He's not wrong, you can pick anyone and inspect their houses and in 90% there is not a single house that has anything built on the exterior site (except people trying to randomly place things) in the whole neighborhood. Obviously I cannot look into the houses, since the default setting is that it's locked even for friends (which honestly is a dumb gameplay decision).
I disagree with his assumption that "mythic raiders" are the main target audience of housing. I would rather assume they are the last who are interested in spending time doing anything non rewarding in the game.
All it is, is a mix of anecdotal evidence and typical hyperbole on the internet. Basically business as usual. The guy who kicked this off claimed " Housing is pretty much all anyone is doing right now." - and then the next guy comes in and claims something that the third guy misinterprets.
I won't dispute that it "feels" like housing could be a popular feature...maybe even is right now. But how can anyone tell, because it obviously needs a pre-purchase to play. Unless anyone has numbers on anything (which they usually don't have) there is no telling. If people however do have numbers, I'd be interested.
Also I just noticed that we are completely derailing a Diablo 4 thread here.

There's a lot of dead "abandoned" neighbourhoods. And honestly I'm guilty too for a large portion. It's just something that's there, like pet battles. It's nice for the people who do interact and engage with it, but for the most part, it's just there untouched. But that said, unlike pet battles, when people get to flex their creative juices, things do get wild.
Personally I'm just taking my time to decorate my yard. Haven't touched the interiors yet.
