It's Winter Veil 2025... so where are the housing decorations?

Winter Veil has arrived… and if you haven’t crafted your own custom-made Winter Veil tree, you better learn. Because you aren’t getting one from this Winter Veil event at all!

Winter Veil in 2025 is actually way worse than the one in 2024. Back in 2024, we had decorations in Dornogal. Now you don’t even have that. Oh, and let’s not start talking about decorations in the neighborhood. Such thing doesn’t exist there at all.

It’s amazing that the year is 2025, you have so much AI-generated slop, and somehow it’s too hard for Blizzard to add some simple decorations for your house like trees and hanging lights. Or at least copy/paste them from Warlords of Draenor, because they exist there for your Garrison.

It’s a shame that in December 2025 I’ll once again spend more time in LOTRO, because a free2play game offers more customization option for their houses compared to a subscription-based MMO.

I also have a Christmas tree - however, in all cases, these are custom made trees.

You stack several bushes, put schmancy goblin garlands and that's it.

I mean, it's definately disappointing that the brand new flagship feature they are pushing is missing content in the holiday event.

But equally the feature is still in preview mode and if it's the straw that makes you delete your account you were probably deeply discontent with the game anyway.

If there were housing rewards you can also garantee Blizzard would be glazing them hard in the Winterveil event article as they want more people to pre-order.

Look at how many wow versions they have to maintain + midnight development, most likely nobody got time for fun because usually its trivial in such systems to add another item and they already have the assets ready in the game.

You have to keep in mind that not everybody has pre-purchased Midnight yet. That would mean that a part of playerbase wold be excluded for getting event items like this. I bet that Blizzard want these events be even and fair for everyone. So expect the xmas decorations next year.
