Plus the event hasn't even started in earnest yet, also no one on Azeroth even knows who Christ (or any other real life religious figure is), so i don't even know if it's as important to them as it is to us.

So what? World of Warcraft plays a huge part in spreading multiculturalism and acceptance of other cultures. Before WoW, I didn't know much about the Chinese New Year, now, thanks to it, I'm more educated. And I enjoy that in-game holiday too.

The same applies to Christmas.
