Devourer Demon Hunters don't have proper heirloom weapons

    Hi there!

I've noticed that Devourer Demon Hunters don't have a proper heirloom weapon they can equip. I mean, yes, there are several heirloom weapons that provide Agility, but none of the heirloom weapons you can equip give you Intellect.

Yeah that's definitely gonna be adjusted sometime. Probably should post this on blizz forums though. This sites forums doesn't get much traffic anymore

They know...Devourer also has the fun leveling quirk where they don't actually get any int weapons and its best to level BFA and above because you'll get warglaives that also have int

    Yeah I noticed that, too.
They haven't even bothered allowing heirlooms to go to 80, the last time they increased them was during first patch of dragonflight over three years ago - and I don't think anyone complained.
So I don't think they get much "development" time anymore and are more or less considered obsolete, considering how fast you level anyway and with the stat squish it won't even really matter if you don't switch out your starting weapons until you reach the current's xpac levelling zones.

They'll likely either give them the ability to equip INT Maces, or they'll make the 1-H swords have an INT stat as well.

Either way you don't want heirloom gear anyway since it's very much underpowered and the set bonuses on them are totally worthless.

Heirloom gear at the very least lets you not worry about finding gear replacements while leveling.

I reached level 80 on my DH while still wearing boots I found at level 62 or so.

Normally I'd agree, but its absolutely jarring that the minute you find gear it's somehow (albeit temporarily), not only better in stats but in ilvl as well. And that's for items like greens and higher.

This wasn't the case in the past. Its so sad how they ruined these items.

I'm leveling one and chose to do Legion first, because I seemed to already be on a quest for it and it was when DH was added to the game. I took the Havoc glaives and they did have intellect. Unfortunately though, the artifact weapon didn't scale at all and would remain at level 10 no matter what. Mysterious bags weren't dropping that much, so I bailed out of Legion and went to WoTLK instead. No quest rewards that I could use, but the loot bags were dropping nicely, so things went pretty smoothly to a point where I just decided to switch to Dragonflight. Still no weapons from quests, but I'm getting close to TWW level range and keep getting bags.

They definitely should add an heirloom for devourers, but that will not solve the problem for new players. Suitable weapons for devourers seem extremely rare no matter which route you take and the game still offers you a whole bunch of Chromie time options that new players might be tempted to choose.

I distinctly remember levelling as a pally tank in I think WoD? pretty sure it was WoD. queued for a dungeon, got in. Pally heals. Noticed they were struggling a bit so I did an inspect, saw he had mostly int heirloom gear on except for pants which were strength. asked him why and yeah, turns out there were no plate intellect pants at the time. dunno when they fixed it but yeah was crazy at the time.
