Want fast Housing XP? Don't do this.

The first day I saw that Endeavor quest "Mechagnome Transportation" I thought that it should be possible to perma jump on one single air jet. Today I actually found one, and it is possible. You just need to choose a direction where your character is launched into a wall or house or rock right after the jump starts. Adjust the launch direction until no more correction is necessary, holding down the "move back" key is enough for this to go on forever.

I guess this is potential danger territory, or is it? So better not do it.

The Housing XP is rather good I guess, especially for it being 100% AFK:

Mine was horde territory 49/58, though for me it's not up any more at the moment, but I found another one, almost as good, at 54/57. Also looked around a bit on alliance territory, but couldn't find anything.

I don't know if they despawn based on number of jumps or randomly or by logout, though in my example I got more than 200 jumps out of it and it was only gone after logout. The second spot is still there but as I said, I'm not going to overuse this, just in case...

Ok, next level now, significantly faster, but you need to hit your jump key all the time to trigger the air jet and finding the right position might take a minute or two.

This one won't launch you at all, as you're immediately hitting that fire brazier in front of you.
In my screenshot it doesn't show housing XP any more as I'm capped already, but the community coupons are also an indicator for quest completion.
Also managed to show time with seconds now, not just hours and minutes.



Haha... I guess it's time for them to "fix" this now. Just make the air jets despawn after 10 jumps and let them spawn somewhere else. That would kill this method more or less. And honestly, this is on them, placing the jets like that. It's an invitation to make use of a very efficient method to complete the quest.

This is not just good for housing xp, you can also fill the endeavor bar for your community or cap all your alts with community coupons. Maybe the next endeavor theme won't have such a fast method to earn these.

This spot is slightly worse than the horde spot, because it actually does launch you for a split second and every tenth jump or so doesn't trigger anything (might just be my positioning). However, sometimes one jump double triggers and in rare cases I even had a tripple trigger per jump. This makes me think, that finding a spot where this tripple trigger is like a perma trigger, that could be well less than 0.5 sec per XP point, meaning 7000+ XP per hour, theoretically. But whatever, this is housing and it's basically almost free and on auto complete anyway.

Right? I get why most endgame systems (m+, raid, reputation) are timegated, but a purely cosmetic mode?

Like... Why? To milk the only housing players for maximum money?

They're probably aware of this by now. A fix will likely be done after Midnight goes live. I doubt folks will be retroactively punished for using it though they might do something for Alliance players if this is Horde-exclusive.

But why would anyone play WoW just for housing? And why would anyone nolife housing?

The principle eludes me. Cosmetics like housing and transmog only make sense when embedded into a larger game.
There is literally zero sense in building the perfect house and then abandoning it.

Why would you need a guide to hover over the XP bar that tells you how you get house XP?
