    Nightborne/Night elf LGB vibes?

Trying to find all the gay references in wow, but stumbled so far on a few instances particularly prevalent amongst the night elf crowd.

    1. Night elf priestess of Elune in Azsuna seems to have girlfriend - was that the one that was previously a Satyr
    2. One of the Nightborne female flirts/silly - commenting about how beautiful Tyrande is "Tyrande still looks good after all these years, know if she's seeing anyone?" and then mentions about being trapped in a bubble with the same guy for a thousand years, and now needs variety.

So is the night elf /Nightborne females the go to race for Lesbian role play? or the canon race for female LGB stuff? I know for males we have the human Flynn and Shaw, and potentially Umbric and Rommath - which tbh feels a lot more organic than the former. Someone also mentioned a potential Xal'atath crushing on Alleria?

That's all i can recall so far.

Not sure why any of this matters.
I’m sure there’s a list you can find from just searching on Google.
Two others that I can think of off top of my head are the 2 deer in Ardenweald. I have no idea what race they originally were as they aren’t from Azeroth.
Special mention for the + portion of LGB goes to Chromie, one of my favorite characters in game, who counts as a trans character as they are a male dragon who takes on the guise of a female gnome.
As far as anything else from your post, I don’t think the game has a huge representation of characters sexuality to make a clear decision on your topic.

Well the Alliance shrine in Mists has a female human and female dwarf with the same last name who flirt with each other. Not elf related admittedly. I'm also sure Mace, being the elf-obsessed guy that he is, is both hyperfixating and probably seeing things that aren't there.

Azshara should have a thing going on with Elisande too. Based on my experience in old school sword and sorcery dark fantasy movies, usually powerful sorceress are bisexual as they go both ways.

Why only Nightborne/night elf? Why do you care only about the elf representation?

This one has always fascinated me, because it's the first instance of the player character being depicted as gay / bi; which feels strange considering that might be at odds with the player's own personal identity. And yeah, the same also applies to silly / flirts that specifically target male / female characteristics regardless of gender, but this was the one that brought the issue as a whole to my attention.

Maybe we just shouldn't have gendered flirts anymore.

I'd imagine that is the next thing to go in-game. Better for a company to remove any chance of being criticized/scrutinized (or attempting to prevent being criticized/scrutinized) much like the body type 1 & 2 kind of things.

I can also imagine a WoW player becoming upset when their character is being /flirted by another player, and feeling they are being addressed wrong.

Uhh, what part of Umbric and Rommath's relationship suggests they are gay or interested in one another? I know they used to be friends but they way they are presented in game suggests strongly that they hate each other. Rommath says all void users should be killed...

And Xal'atah and Alleria? What? Again, they're actively trying to kill one another. Where is there any shred of romance or attraction? Also, for all the interactions so far Alleria has been in a committed relationship with Turalyon.

In vanilla WoW I always read Kinelory and Quae in Arathi Highlands as being a couple. In TBC Shattrath City, I don't remember the specifics but I remember there were a couple of male characters the community in general had pegged as being either a couple or a couple-in-the-making. There are of course the Centaurs in Dragonflight as well - IIRC there were at least 3 L/G couples confirmed directly in quest/conversation/gossip dialogues, possibly more since I didn't actually finish the zone, haha.

While not "gay" or "interested in one-another", the novel going back about the shared past between Rommath and Umbric (and Dar'khan) shows that they were close, good friends, like brothers. Rommath doesn't hate Umbric, but deeply resents him for being careless and toying with the void.

It was, after all, Rommath that pulled strings to keep Umbric and his team from being executed back in Silvermoon, and only get banished instead.

I don’t know if anyone mentioned but it was implied that Valtrois and Stellagosa are dating when they’re at the anniversary event in Tanaris.

There's a random NElf sentinel at Stars' Rest who flirts with one of the other sentinels, who wants nothing to do with it.

They spent 10,000 years with their men asleep as druids so, one can reasonably infer that, yeah, there's probably a non-zero amount of them

But, no, they're not 'the canon race' or whatever and you can make a lesbian of whatever you want if you want to RP as one

If we go by works of fiction in fiction, there’s 2 steamy romance novels. 1 involving 2 human males, as well as a threesome between a human male, a Tauren female, and a Tauren male. Nothing LGB explicitly stated in the Tauren one, but we can all guess that the human would give equal attention to both since it involves Marcus (which we can assume is the same Marcus as the stable boy one).
So yeah, Blizz also includes beastiality in its lore. Lol

It's not canon in the slightest, just an annoying fan ship for people who obsess over 'enemies to lovers'.

    I noticed this as well.

On-topic, Kinelory and Quae were the original WoW gay couple.

The idea of being in an MMOC guild, with a bunch of perpetually angry/terminally online man-toddlers who hate the game but are too addicted to stop playing it, sure sounds like a fun way to play WoW.

While a thread about sexuality among the NPCs is already a touchy subject due to derailment issues in the past, in this one the OP presents things in an outright problematic manner, in several ways, which prevents healthy discussion to even start. Closing this here.
