I love it! I even bought 5!"

And hundreds saying "It's fine. Just let them! Yeah. Let them monetize the game even further, ruin the lore, bring bad gameplay decisions into the game etc. Who cares? Yeah those things will bite my ass later on but I'm completely clueless about it."
Funny how you omitted the ones who say "If you don't like it, don't buy it" - because that is the only thing that works.

You can find the practice "morally" wrong, it doesn't appear to be legally wrong.

Yes, it is useless to point out these things, as useless as me pointing out how "wrong" I find it that Starbucks get away with their prices or Amazon with how they treat their employees. People will still buy at those places and worse.

If you consider something an endless bs practice - as others suggested...take your business and money elsewhere. Sure...go around telling others how to live their lives and spend their money. They won't listen just as you will not listen to this and tell me how wrong I am.

And I am not even BUYING anything from their shop, especially not for housing. I think it is bs as well

The fake outrage of digital items is just laugheable and nobody will stick to their guns and actually quit the game over this. But they will be oh so mad once more on forums, just act ZERO on their beliefs.

Damn..I only opened this thread to /popcorn and now you folks "made me" comment again.

Thats because society is fully marinated and cooked on video game addiction.

Eh at the end of the day Blizzard is only guilty of engaging in capitalism and it's not even that bad nothing they sell is mandatory and arguably the only thing they sell that gives an even slight advantage in the game is the Token and that's not even THAT bad since it's basically Blizzard gets $5, you get $15 in store credit or 30 days game time and the guy who paid the cash gets their number with a yellow circle in front of it increase.

As far as decor goes there's a metric shit ton of crap you can get without paying anything beyond a subscription. Are we going to get super nice shit through real cash? Likely. But as we've already seen people can do some insane shit with the free stuff and if a couple of people make a house that gets them slightly more Instagram likes well whatever that's them.
3 Major Rules of World of Warcraft Players:
    1. No one on earth wants to play World of Warcraft less than other World of Warcraft players.
    2. The desire to win>The desire for anything else in World of Warcraft. NO EXCEPTIONS
    3. Efficiency will be king no matter how you think it will improve the game.

It really disappoints me to see people defend this shit man. I just don't get it. Most people here are left wing and dislike or hate capitalism. They will call out everything but when companies that make products they're addicted to are doing the most egregious shit then they just excuse it or say hey it's capitalism it's expected. I loathe that mentality. In fact i'm fairly sure this is what online commies call bootlicking.

Hearthsteel is a retarded scheme countless other games have used. It's trickery designed to extract more from you and that shit should not be allowed. Just put a fucking price tag on everything. Yes it's capitalism but the entire point is there are limits to what the consumer should have to put up with.

I'm old enough to remember when the celestial pony came out or as TotalBiscuit deemed it, That Retarded Horse and everyone would /spit on anyone riding it as a way to voice disapproval of store purchases. It actually worked well and Ghostcrawler said they sold far less than expected because of it. We are a long long way removed from those days.

That's like... a 40 IQ revelation. No crap they were going to monetize it. The shop has been around for how long? Other games have been doing exactly that for how long? This isn't a new or clever thing and no person who saw the housing announcement was like "they won't monetize it!"
