Retri struggling with soloing content compared to Boomie

Hello,

I just did some tier 8 delves with both retri and boomie, same ilvl (prepatch).

With retri it took me more than double the time to clear it, while with boomie I was zooming through, kiting easily.

I thought retri would be much stronger in solo content compared to boomie.

Now I am back to being undecisive between pala and druid.

Am i doing something wrong?

Well, personally I experienced pre patch ret palas pretty much slaying through any solo content with very short (and passive) damage cooldowns and active and passive self heals while also being able to deal melee damage from quite a range. Particularily compared to moonkin that required dotting mobs first and such losing pretty much all their advantage as range class.

It's probably even impossible to answer now considering we are facing balance changes daily, and have no idea how content is going to be tuned anyway.

But what does it matter what I (or others) experience? This is a question that only you can answer for you.

Ret Paladin seriously blows with the prepatch since they removed Hammer of Wrath [execute proc], and the AoE alternative to Death Sentence that applied a damage taken debuff.

Often find my character just swinging their weapon while waiting for abilities to come off cooldowns. It feels so slow now going from mob to mob.
