Amazing cinematic. One of their best.
The idea of being in an MMOC guild, with a bunch of perpetually angry/terminally online man-toddlers who hate the game but are too addicted to stop playing it, sure sounds like a fun way to play WoW.

I like the Alleria one better but this is still decent, better than most cinematics they do now
(Alleria has a better VA and music mostly)
A better way to think about Casual v Hardcore: https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads...asual-Hardcore
Some of my favorite scenes, both in game and in novels, is of Faol being passively awesome.
Do like the redefining of Liadrin's backstory here. For those who don't remember, the oldest lore for Paladins is they are priests who are huge, grumpy assholes to everyone, especially to each other. Her thing was she needed the light, called to it, but it didn't respond/didn't give her the amount of power she request and decided it was too unreliable to depend on, so took up a sword. Presumably the fel energy they were farming at the time is where that all initially went, I think the story kind of lost track of her up until WoW.

loved how they included some iconic paladin abilities during the fight scene, avenging wrath and avenger's shield.

That was actually good.
Seeing game abilities depicted in different art styles always makes me want some AA-level single-player games featuring WoW classes.

This is miles better than the cinematic as far as how Liadrin is shown. I realize that art is subjective and so the following is only an opinion: she looks like an elf here rather than a human with ears tacked on, like in the cinematic. The animation was less visually-jarring because of that.
Wow strong girl boss woman, im shocked and impressed blizzard /s
