    Quick Facts:
    • Home: Harandar, a dangerous fungal jungle aglow with bioluminescence nestled amidst the roots of the World Trees.
    • Unlockable Allied Race through the level-up campaign
    • Available Factions: Horde or Alliance
    • Classes: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Monk, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, or Warrior
    • Mount: Ivory Grimlynx

Met during The War Within, the haranir story comes to light in Midnight. Serving as ancient guardians of the rootways, they are led by a council of elders. Ferocious, watchful guardians, the haranir keep an ever-present vigil over the wild domains of their long-absent goddess, in hopes that she might one day return. Some haranir choose to break their lingering connection to join the Shul’ka—defenders against horrors within Harandar. A young haranir, known as Orweyna, is one of those with a very strong connection to her goddess, leading her beyond the bounds of her home and against the haranir traditions of seclusion.

Orweyna: A young haranir, Orweyna was first introduced in The War Within. Her race is little known and has remained reclusive deep under the roots of the world trees. She will be pivotal in introducing us to her people, their culture, and what they are about. Despite being young, she answers the call of her goddess to go where she’s led—even if it means incurring the ire of her people.

An unfamiliar people from a forgotten time, Haranir will arrive with a variety of customizations available to them. They can be adorned with bioluminescent paint on their face and bodies in a variety of patterns that can be selected when customizing your character.

The champions of Azeroth need all the allies they can get.

I wonder if these will be under the "i forgot how to talk to my people" spell as well after choosing a faction.

I haven't played in a while and haven't been keeping track of all the other races models BUT... are the Haranir's hands cartoonishly huge to anyone else (esp the males)?. It's distracting that his hands are significantly bigger than his head.

Well they are literally built off of the night elf models and the male night elves have had cartoonishly large hands for some time now. They definitely made them slightly larger with the model revamps with the higher qualtiy.

    Neutral races are so boring.

What an amazing race!. I can't wait to unlock it. I think both Druid and Warrior looks great on them. Also their racials are really interesting.
This is the first thing i'm going to do in Midnight. Unlock them!

Yeah. Neutral races should have stopped with Pandas (as an experiment).

    WHO are you?

I hope eventually they get away from giving every race the largest hands and arms imaginable.

So what reason - plot-wise - do they have to decide to be around? They were barely a thing in the last expansion.

Yeah...how dare anyone like something about WoW

Been unhappy with my druid for ages...as a Tauren and a Troll. (Don't get me wrong, I am happy with my Tauren warrior and Troll rogue) - so I might also unlock them first and then race change.

Earthen weren't a thing in the last expansion before TWW....as was pretty much any Allied race. They become a "thing" in the x-pac and part of the plot....but as such often / mostly / always a bit as a surprise or out of nowhere.

I'm honest on this one. I really like the Haranir. They remind me the Na'vi. But also, they have nice bodies design. No hunchback or weird pose. They use the Night elf models and I bet they are going to look amazing in different types of armor.

I mean, I understand if you don't like them. But they are both elf and troll race. I love how they look. Specially the female, she looks a little bit chubby. The male looks atletic. I'm probably going to give them a more neutral name to change them from male to female once in a while.

Also, i'm going to main a Blood elf and Night elf on this expansion.

Do you really find it so incredibly incomprehensible that someone might have an opinion that doesn't align with yours?

I know, and I wasn't being sarcastic, I was legit asking why are they suddenly relevant?

No please, no — neutral races are the only chance for the Horde and the Alliance to end up with the same level of trash races or interesting races. No one here has forgotten that the Alliance got Fat Human, Gnome with a prosthetic, and Void Elf — a super bland race with extremely weak lore, no capital city, living in a black hole beyond the portal, emo hair, and turning purple when they attack.

Meanwhile the Horde got Zandalar, Vulpera, and Nightborne — all actual races, genuinely distinct — and aside from the Vulpera, who are nomadic, all of them have proper capital cities, packed with lore.

Oh right — they also gave the Alliance yellow Draenei. Those guys live on a ship, with no real capital.

Highmountain is the weakest race introduced on the Horde side, and even so they have a capital, they can be druids with their own unique forms, and they had an entire expansion’s worth of lore development behind them.

I NEVER want to see another allied race that isn’t neutral.

They’re going to give Amani Troll customization to the Horde and absolutely nothing to compensate the Alliance.

Why can’t they give trolls to the Alliance too, since they gave the Earthen Dwarf to the Horde?

Not only that — the Amani can’t stand the Elves of Quel’Thalas. How would they ever join the Horde, where the vast majority of created characters are Blood Elves — the very ones who drove them from their lands and subjugated them?

Ohhh but Tyrande had a disagreement with Thalyssra and that was enough for Thalyssra to join a faction that committed genocide against the Kaldorei — even though the Alliance itself was there helping the oppressed Nightborne of Suramar in the Nighthold.

I also like them a lot, best customizations since...well no other Allied Race have that many customizations. And many, Baseline Races like, Tauren for example, dont get even close.
