Haranir Armor Issues and Fixes Coming

As a top priority, we are fixing many issues with Haranir armor attachments and armor visibility mistakes as soon as possible. We will implement these fixes via hotfix in the current version (12.0.1) over the next week or so.

We will continue to focus all necessary attention on this. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I wonder if this will apply to the weird way that some boots look on them. The boots that have that like spike at the top are super stretched on Haranir.

I think the greater issue here is that they knew it was a fault and shipped the expansion anyway. In the grand scheme of things it's not that major, but could you imagine if other jobs did this?

Here's your steak, sorry the peppercorn sauce is coming later.

Here's your legal advice, sorry the references and formatting is coming later.

I think people would respect Blizz more for a delayed release and a more polished product. These hiccups don't affect the game but they do affect reputation.

I thought the Haranir were using the NE rig/skeleton? If they are then why the problem with armor? Is the model that different above the skeleton level (proportions, etc)

This is just how almost all (if not literally all) software development works. All software has bugs. They are prioritised to be fixed based on impact vs required effort to resolve. In this case they've just made a decision that their original impact assessment was wrong and re-prioritised it.

It is not like cooking steak or providing legal advice at all.

    This is spot-on.
The idea of being in an MMOC guild, with a bunch of perpetually angry/terminally online man-toddlers who hate the game but are too addicted to stop playing it, sure sounds like a fun way to play WoW.

I'm glad they've moved this up the pipeline as a priority.

The Haranir are quite a bit thicker than the Night Elves (at least for females), so if using the 3D placement for NElves, the 3D pieces clip into the model. Though that's just one of Haranir's issues.

Separately, the underwear is part of the Haranir base texture, so unlike other races, armor will not replace the underwear texture. This would cause things like the chainmail bikini or most midriff armors to display base underwear beneath the transmog.

Haranir in plate armor is amazing. They look so good in many of the plate sets that I have. I'm actually really impressed with them. I never expected for them to be this great looking. Even the male have so many good transmog options that looks great on them.

The gist is Haranir have a ton of clipping issues that got reported BUT "Armor clips" is a low priority issue. The problem is that a lot of low priority issues add up to a larger issue.

If one light bulb goes out in a Walmart, who cares? If it's DARK in a Walmart, there is concern.
