Honestly, Tywin's biggest fuckups were being abusive to Tyrion, and raising Jamie/Cersei to be awful people. He's ruthless, but he did try doing everything the right way. If his kids weren't incestuous, Jon Arryn never gets killed, Robert never gets killed, Eddard never gets killed. It would have likely been a pretty peaceful transition to Lannister rule when Robert eventually died naturally. Then he'd probably obsess with running the Kingdom perfectly for the sake of his family's legacy.
He really is better than end-of-show Cersei, he's just a pretty big fuckup of a father.
Jon Snow respects his "father" and keeps saying that traitors should be executed. Yet, he is the one who becomes one... Spit to both his "father" and Targaryen legacy.
I wouldn't call her evil; just bat-shit crazy.
In your own allegory of raid-leading:
Her scenario in the end wasn't punishing 1 or 2 raiders who got their saved for loot and couldn't share it or participate for a week by kicking them.
Her scenario was taking over a raid team (out of nowhere), kicking 10 out of 30 players from the roster because they couldn't attend the 1st raid for unrelated reasons, and then telling the remaining 19 if they miss a single raid she's gonna kick them as well.
It's still a good show to watch through once. The books go up to the end of season 6.
During season 7, it started to feel rushed. They do fast travel stuff, where in the earlier seasons armies / people would leave a location and get there the at the end of the next episode. In season 7, it was them leaving and the next scene arriving. Same with battles. They charge into battle, and then cut to battle is over. Compared to earlier seasons, just felt like it was rushed.
Season 8 actually starts on a high note. The first couple episodes of the season are really great. Then comes "The Bells" episode. Having watched through the show a couple times now, I see earlier where Dany shows those signs of being a bit crazier to do the things she does at the end of the show.
However, everything that happens in that episode goes against what she said she wanted to do. It goes against things that were talked about, like the people not wanting to be ruled by Cersei. Instead of going in as a great savior, she kills the people that were wanting to be saved by her.
I think the writers did some of that intentionally, just to throw the viewers off from guessing what the ending of the show would be.

Thing is, Cersei was far more evil and unstable, yet the show decided to reward her for it.
She descecrated the holiest site in Westeros, while murdering thousands. By what logic does this make her more popular in Westeros?
Problem is the GRRM and the show fell to much in love with the Lannisters and their anti-hero-cool. For the last few seasons or books they should just called "Lannister Family Hijinks!". All three are given ridcoulous amounts of plot armor and roll nothing but natural 20s.
It was fine when it was just Tyrion.... every author needs their Gary Stu with a large "bulbous penis" (GRRM). But extending this power-creep to Jamie and Cersei forced too many of the other characters into really contrieved circumstances.
Not showing mercy to Cersei is not the same thing as burning an entire city down. Being a WoW raid leader does not teach you how to lead and its actually hilarious you think it does. You thinking there was no other way for her to go about killing Cersei shows you are actually stupid. You could take the ending we got and rewrite it to to where she only burns the red keep and she accomplishes the exact same goal without killing the rest of the city.
People were mad about the ending because burning the city was completely outside of her character. If it was someone like Tywin who did that no one would've been mad.

Read the books, they're way better.
The fun thing about this universe is that is set in a time where magic is rare and mythical, so it's mostly realistic medieval stuff, but when something magical (like magic, dragons, zombies...) appears, tben you know it's serious business and those moments are memorable.

It's sad, but true. At the time, there was an active Game of Thrones LCG card game from Fantasy Flight Games. A new pack of cards every month. Larger expansions a couple times a year.
At my local game store, there were around 10-12 of us that met up and played every week. Just because of how the show ended, no one in our group wanted to keep playing. It didn't just kill the show, but any interest in anything related to the show.
To be clear I'm not disagreeing, it was insane how fast it fell off after that. I honestly thought it would kill new shows in the future, but amazingly that hasn't happened

You guys are all commie whackadoodles, dani did nothing wrong and nor has Trump.
I was RL for 6 months in mop, if you weren't you know nothing about leadership.
I dont know whether to /s or not

Jon Snow was his (adopted) fathers son and was probably the most grounded character in the series and genuinely tried to be honest and honourable, even when lying would have made his life easier. He was a little bit smarter with how he went about things than Eddard was but ultimately he was a leader people actually wanted, the nights watch, the northerners and even the wildlings all followed him willingly. To call him a weak and miserable sheep just completely ignores his entire character.
Dany on the other hand was essentially a spoilt brat (she was raised in luxury) with no real understanding of leadership and an extremely warped world view (mostly from her brother). Saying she did things for a REASON isn't particularly insightful, everyone does everything for a reason. That's not to say that she didn't have likeable traits, however she essentially spent the entire show talking about burning cities to the ground and only got stopped because an advisor was there to stop her. Once she had ran out of advisors she... burned a city to the ground. All the shit about breaking the wheel was absolute nonsense and verges on a messiah complex. She 100% did not want to break the wheel as she was trying to win the throne.
As for Jon ruling with her being the better ending does that include her burning a city to the ground first? Because if it does there is zero chance Jon would have accepted ruling with her, and eventually she would have been overthrown. Her dragons were not invincible and she didn't have any way of getting more of them so at best they would have ruled for several generations until Drogon died of old age (unless Drogon just noped out the second Dany died of old age). The unsullied had a very distinct expiry date and after burning kings landing to the ground not sure many of the noble houses would actually actively support her.

yeah, she slaughtered innocent civilians, but if she didnt MAYBE other people, most likely FEWER (kings landing was biggest most populated city on continent), and quite possibly not citizens, MIGHT have been killed, so she did nothing wrong
are you sociopath by any chance? bcs if not i am not certain how you could consider that line of thinking as "nothing wrong"...
she slaughtered shitloads of innocent people, no hypothetical ifs or buts are relevant, if you are mentaly well you cannot see slaughtering innocent civilians as "nothing wrong...

Pretty much. A lot of the perception of her actions and ultimate fate seem to be a result of "informed insanity" more than anything else.
She wasn't any more or less awful than anyone else throughout the show. Tons of people were out there killing, torturing, destroying and being horrible to achieve their goals, but because we're constantly *told* that she's going to go insane, people say, "Man, it's so obvious she's going insane!".
Meanwhile, all the characters doing as much or worse are just "bad guys" that are "fighting their enemies" or whatever.
