Greatly Exaggerated is an alliance guild recently formed on the Hydraxis server, a medium-population, currently low-progression realm. Simply put, we intend to change that last bit. As it stands we are a few weeks into recruitment and nearly finished. We are fully clearing Kara in the downtime atm and will begin GL onward Sept 9th. We are a raiding-oriented guild whose main player-base consists of people who tend to have most of the following characteristics:

1) We like raiding on a regular basis with a serious mind towards success, but a fun-loving mind towards each other, PVP, Vent, etc.

2) We take our roles in the PVE endgame seriously, and have the most fun when we are performing at our best in the raid environment.

3) We understand that our members have a life outside of WoW - RL comes FIRST when emergencies / important things come up.

4) We do NOT raid for loot, superiority, epeen, or anything of a similar nature.

5) We are friends both in, and out, of game, and enjoy playing the game while not raiding with each other.

We are forming this guild to cater to other players of similar interests. Although the guild we are forming will be starting from scratch, the leaders are not - all of us have post-TBC raid experience (having killed VR), and two of us have seen pre-TBC raid content up to Naxx as well. In other words, we are serious about raiding, and have performed to the top of our abilities in all of these raid instances. One of the reasons we are forming this guild is so that we can progress even further and in an even better fashion, with people who truly want to see all that WoW has to offer.

We are looking to progress rapidly with solid players who like to raid and raid well. Raid times will be from 8:30 PM - 12:00 AM EST Sun. - Thurs. We hope to be downing Gruul and moving through SSC / TK at a good rate (1 - 2 months) almost as soon as we field a team of players who are willing to learn, improve, and just plain have fun. Currently, we are looking to recruit players of the following classes / specs who are interested in joining us in this endeavor:

1 Warrior (Prot - OT position)
1 Priest (Shadow)
2 Druids (2 Feral)
2-3 Shamans (Resto, Possibly 1 Enh)
1-2 Mages
1 Warlock

These needs are fluctuating as we recruit players for the guild; the most recent and up-to-date recruitment info can always be found at http://geguild.com , our new website. Also please not that these are not set in stone and outstanding apps will always be considered.

Please note that while we will not directly enforce specs unless it is absolutely merited / necessary (in which case it probably wouldn't need to be forced), we will be recruiting players based on their knowledge of their class and spec options. If you're not raid specc'd or planning on doing so, you should have a logical and well-thought out reason before applying, as we will ask you about this at some point during the process. Again, we will expect raid-based specs - we just won't tell you exactly where every point must go. If your spec or class is not on the above list, don't hesitate to apply! We will still consider any and all exceptional applicants.

Ok, so you're interested in applying for one of the above slots. What's next? First, go here:
http://forums.geguild.com/viewforum.php?f=6
and register on the forums. You WILL be expected to regularly read / participate on the forums, if for no other reason than organizational / communication purposes. Then, fill out an application using the example app posted. We'll respond within 48-72 hours (honestly it'll probably be within a few hours), and if you seem like a good match, we'll ask for a Vent interview at a time that suits you. By the end of the interview we usually have an official yes / no response to the app.

Finally, we would like to reiterate the seriousness with which we take this endeavor. We are leaving a lot behind with starting this and as such hope that people will realize that we are not just some random people who have no idea what they are getting themselves into. Our hope is that with your help we will be able to make the rewards greatly outweigh the risks we took in starting this. In short, we have a lot to lose but even more to gain. Thanks for reading this wall of text, and we hope it didn't crit you too hard ;-)
