I wouldn't say that there won't be new jewelry. It's simply too early to tell... Most sources (Nethaera, green poster on General and Drysc, blue) have alluded to S3 being released concurrently with 2.3, which we won't see until ~December.

I am personally counting on all new jewelry in my honor-saving plan.

No sense in NOT grinding for it if you're not doing something else actively, e.g., not raiding or farming for mats for consumables for raiding.
