An alternative to Cartographer?

Since 2.3 I've been getting a lot of errors coming up, and they all seem to be with Cartographer.

So basically I want to get rid of it, which suits me because it's too much of a resource hog.

All I really liked from it was Lightheaded, the addon that helped you with quests by user submitted information about the quests.

So does anyone use another addon that is similar to Cartographer at all?

Actually, I kinda want to get rid of it lol.

It's too much of a resource hog on my machine, and there's a 2 second delay when I press M to bring up the map.

I'm after another customisable map mod that had co-ordinates, can change the size of the map etc etc.

You could give Alphamap a try, it's part of Cosmos. Don't use it myself and I'm not sure that its uses less memory, however it is an alternative.

I use default map + tomtom for coordinates. It works wonders.
