This mage talent makes me crazy!

Hell! i play 17/0/44, but i don't know if i should lose 3 point from winter's chill and put it into improved CoC..i mean, winter's chill can burst my critical by 10%, but i lose the 2k CoC what do u think is better? (for pvp)

i dont have a high lvl mage but i've gotten the impression by playing against them that coc in arenas is generally a pretty big mana dump and not recommended to use alot.

for me coc is kiting tool, never using it for damage, fireblast is better for mana pool, anyway coc is good only against rogue and warr

Mhh i don't like the idea of losing piercing ice and the empowered frostbolt..

I have 0 points in Imp CoC, don't really use it for damage as much as kiting.

You need to put points in Winter's chill if you're doing arena.. with winters chill stacking up you can polymorph the target without having a priest/pala instantly dispelling it, becoz they dispell 1 random effect of the 3 WC charges and the poly... also hardes to dispell frost -> Easier to get shatter combos

i currently have improved CoC atm, it hits for around 900-1000 (keeping in mind i have 850 spell dmg) so its not really that great, i think im gona dump this talent in patch 2.3.2 because of the new talent icy veins - it will force me to use frostbolt spam abit more - and more crits! and as someone mentioned above its useful for stacking it a few times before sheeping a warrior with a dispeller on the team
