rogue offhand

Hi there,

I'm wondering wich offhand would suite my rogue best.

I'm blacksmith and crafted a blazeguard http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28426 (1 vortex away from blazefury)
yesterday the Akil'zon's Talonblade dropped for me http://www.wowhead.com/?item=33214

my bet is on the talonblade, but i would like to see some calculations behind it tbh (wich im not good at )

Blazeguard stats:
AP 1654
hit 273
crit 24%+

Akil'zon's Talonblade stats:
AP 1688
256 hit
crit 24%+

I've always been a great fan of swords and altho im a little disapointed in bs swordspecc, I still like the blazeguard and especially blazefury. (excellent eye candy )
After monitoring my energy gain towards other rogues with a 1.5 oh, we noticed i was always between 8-10% behind.

Don't tell him something wrong... the Talonblade ist better than Blazefury, if you don't belive it just look it up at shadowpanther.

Dps ain't everything.. the speed is worth a lot more than you think, e.g getting energie procs and hitting a target with poison more often.. and don't forget the haste rating, that one is quite good to.

anyways you schould work on your hit rating for higher raid instances. but its not the point in those two weapons

Edit: Merciless is better than both yes which is pretty obvious, the gladiator one isn't though.
