Actually, most people referring to WotlK forcing us into daggers are in reference to Assassination, in case you hadn't heard, Mutilate requires daggers.

Sorry but why the hell is that PvE Daggers?

B'c some people think you can do pve dps with Sub spec. It might be easier with the reduced backstab energy cost but IMO Sub will still be terrible dmg in pve.

More haste means more instant poisons ( deadly brew )
And more energy regeneration (bottom of the tree talent)

Also, combat potency for combat spec.
