PVE Frost Raiding Spec

I've been looking at the new trees for a while and have finally decided to go with this frost/arcane spec.

Just wondering what other mages planning to spec this way think. Also, any one else planning on going inscrip/enchant?

You can get a lot more PvE milage dropping PvP oriented talents with Frost.

Heres what I'd be going for if I had a mage:

Scorch every 25 seconds = +10% damage increase to your frost spells, as well as additional damage for other mages/moonkins/ele shammies, etc in the raid.

You lose out on serious PvP viability, and slightly diminished AOE capabilities, but your single target DPS will rock.

Thats a pvp build pretty clearly, as above poster mentioned if you want to be frost pve'er you'll pretty uch have to be an elementalist build, both for scorch, but also for improving frostfire bolt.

While elementalist should be a good build for pve i dont see it being the end all spec people are claiming. I can see this build as being very competitve in the pve circuit.

The other option is going for imp scorch but i would think would the changes that mages are getting that the raid would have someone for that.

IMO imp scorch is too good to pass up. At least in terms of single target damage boss fights. While you do lose a cast to maintain the stack, it DOES give you a straight +10% damage, and helps out the other members of the raid too.

Additionally, you can pick up the crits = mana refund talent in the same tier of fire (as I did in the spec I posted). This, along with imp water elemental should alleviate any mana problems.

While Imp scorch is good 2 mages dont need to have it, So while the build i have made doesnt have quite the utility, In a raid i think it would do great. Also considering the amount of Elementalist fanboys there are i would expect that i would probably have no problem getting one of them to take imp scorch to double dip for there FFBs. So considering the actual name of the thread. I would think my build would create the best dps for Frost raiding.
