I would suppose they have quite low survivability, no resillience etc. So one would have to make a choise - attack and kill the wolves while the shaman goes at you, or ignore them and take the damage. Just like you have to do in any pet situation.

ohhi , there is new ranks of wf weapon but im guessing their lvl required is bugged since all of them are for lvl 68
