    tankadin set gear

    str 361
    stam 507
    def 201
    sbr 88
    sbv 180
    exp 30
    hit 30
    dodge 76
    parry 35
    (not counting gems/sockets)

    notes:
we have the highest str on our set and by far the highest block value
that ~736 damage to Shield of Righteousness if I'm calculating right

the DK set focuses on dodge/parry and the warrior set is half way in between

Why is there no Intellect on our tanking gear?

im happy there is no int its a wasted stat for prot

with the dmg we take in raids the healing keeps our mana toped up like a rage bar no need for a hight mana pool

Why would there be? Intellect is an extinct stat for us soon. I don't see any reason for us needing mana pools any larger than base.

    Math:

    (361 Strength * 2) + 180 (total added Block Value) + 9 (socket Block Value) = 911 Block Value gained from gear.

    Fixed.

@Rawberry - Why in this world would you give up Stam for int?

    Re: tankadin set gear

I'm trying to look it up and failing but I though it was 2 str -> 1 BV at 70 and 2.4 str -> 1 BV at 80 (which I used to get that number)

    in anycase it's a lot

My question for you would be how you came up with your result in the Block Value calculation. Because you divide your Strength by 2 Rawberry, not multiply it. Obviously it's getting late for me and I should be in bed.

    Re: tankadin set gear

Int is an awful stat to tank with. It doesn't provide any real threat, just a larger buffer before you run out of mana. It's also expensive.

Prot is now based around a fast moving mana pool, mirroring ret's similarities to a rage pool.

If you look at the redone T6 gear, int and spell damage are both traded for strength.

Trading stam for int is even worse than what warriors have to deal with on their updated T6 set: swapping stam for str. But at least Str has threat and mitigation attached to it. Int doesn't.

(for those not following rawberry's sarcasm: blizzard, traditionally, loved to give stats that were useless)

I understood when people replied to my first comment, but seriously when I started about trading Stamina for Intelligence you guys should have smelled the fire going.
