Thread: Reckoning?

    Reckoning?

Did they actually change it? They changed Reckoning?!

Gives you a 10% chance after blocking or being hit by any damaging attack that the next 4 weapon swings within 8 sec will generate an additional attack.

    Am I missing something here?

But those attacks can still be parried, right?

I had to check this, but yeah, you are indeed right It's only ranks 1-4 that act like it did before, but rank 5 gives you a chance to proc reckoning when you block, too. Now it's got atleast some usability

Yes, they can. However, since there are no crushing blows anymore it's not such a big issue if a boss parries your attack. This will also help you build even more agro.

Well, you can cap out expertise pretty easy.

    Re: Reckoning?

my problem with it that we probably gonna use corruption as a tanking seal which does no extra damage on extra attacks. However they buffed OHWS to 10% which is a very nice change. I don't know if it would be practical to take 2 pure dps 5 pointer talents.

    Re: Reckoning?

the parry makes little difrence now since a pally will use a much slower MH the boss will parry less over all right

    Re: Reckoning?

With combat expertise and the corruption glyph you will already have 16 expertise. Pick up a few items that boost it and you get capped pretty easy.

    Re: Reckoning?

If you happen to be scryer, which I'm not... but there are some other prot items and/or the shard of contempt which gives you expertise.

PS.: the shard's proc is now useful to prot too

we can switch to SoR/SoB for the reckoning procs
since you have no "chance" to proc SoCorr/SoV, but it procs no matter what, it shouldn't be a problem keeping it up

    Re: Reckoning?

1st off, you don't need 15% parry reduction, but 5.6% (or according to some sources 9%)

Seal dancing is ofcourse a possibility, but spending valuable gcd and mana on them makes it much less appealing.

    Re: Reckoning?

16 expertise gives you 4% parry reduction, 3.9 rating gives you 1 expertise (or 0.25% reduction) the shard alone pumps you up to 6.8%.

    5.6%
