    Posted this elsewhere, but...

I took some time time to make an "ideal" talent tree for the priest. Here is the result. What I have tried to create was a talent tree that allowed all specs to be properly represented. There are minor buffs here and there, with appropriate nerfs to prevent the class from being overpowered. I've added a few things in, and combined some talents together.

In this build, Holy Nova has been made trainable. Inner Fire has also been made to have no charges, with a duration of 30 minutes.

With the increases in crits, plus Grace coming closer to its original glory, plus Lightwell being accessible to Disc priests (more raid healing, rather than single target), the Discipline tree shapes up as much more of a single healing target class.

Please be constructive with your feedback, as I took my time and put my heart into this.

Please note that I'm assuming that both Dispersion (the 90% reduction with mana AND health gain), as well as Holy Nova have been made trainable. Inner Fire has also been made to have no charges, with a duration of 30 minutes.

You're welcome to invent an "interesting talent" for Holy. There's a spot right there at 31 points, if you aren't pleased with Holyform.

Nice work dude, must have been a bit of fun to put that together. TBH I think some of your ideas for talents are completely OP but that's not really the point. Imagine a Disc priest having access to pain suppresion & dispersion... zomg!

I also don't see the drawback from holyform... not able to cast shadow spells... what priest would even want to entertain casting shadow spells if they were heal spec'd? There are some decent offensive holy spells you could choose to use instead. It's not really comparable to shadowform where you actually would like to heal yourself or others in order to stay alive. In addition reducing the mana cost of all spells by 10%, that's a serious buff when packaged with everythng else in that 1 point talent, mental agility can reduce the cost of instant spells only for 5 points (admitadly in a different teir but gives a comparison).

As a spriest i'm not sure i'd want a 3rd dot... it can result in debuff cap issues when you have to throw up too many debuffs on a target. DoT's don't scale well with gear because crit and haste have little or no effect on them. Having a 12 sec duration would limit it's scaling ability because a dot recieves 100% of your bonus damage based on a 15 sec duration, so a 12 sec duration sounds odd to me and if it was the same duration as VT the refresh mechanic built into it would be quite clunky, and of course if it's duration was longer the refersh mechanic would cease to work more often than not.

In any case, kudos to you dude.

I like most of the builds (OP or not) just because they are not bloated.

In the current Beta Build, I have to spec 58 points into Discipline to be effective, thus limiting my ability to get some nice tools in the Holy Tree.

The Holy tree, still bloated, but you can basically get the essentials from Discipline rather cheap.

The Shadow Tree has become very bloated from the new updates the last couple of days. However, again, we only need to spend a few points in Discipline so it should be fine.

I still would like to see more of our talents merged together as you have done so in your War-tools. It's funny, I was thinking that enlightenment should be removed and placed in Mental Strength earlier today as well. (A new Talent in place of Enlightenment, or just leave it gone for all I care)

Again, I like your Tree's, and I hope Blizzard would consider merging some of our Talents together.

    Oh, I updated 2 things.

    • Added another rank to Grace, to make it easier to progress further down the tree
    • Reverted Psychic Horror to its original form

    Hope you like the changes!

    Any feedback?

What can be added / changed?

    Re: Posted this elsewhere, but...

I thought it was a neat idea... certainly, some of our talents are a bit underpowered considering where they sit in the tree.

However, you've made many things mandatory just to get to the next level in the tree. For example: You moved the +crit talent to the next tier in the holy tree, but didn't move anything down to the first tier to replace it, so anyone going anywhere in the holy tree MUST take Improved renew AND healing focus in order to continue. What if I was doing a smite build?

All in all, I'd give it a 7/10. I think Blizzard might want to look at it and think about moving some things around that, at the time, were of the appropriate level talent-wise, but aren't anymore due to changes in the game.

P.S. I really like Holy Form; it's OP, but a little tweaking, and it'd be awesome. I personally think the changing form abilities ought to roll to the bottom of whatever tree they're in for all classes (changing into a different form signifying that you are now the elite of your field).

I originally kept Holy Specialisation in tier 1, but I thought that Divine Fury looked lonely...

This WILL NOT happen. Blizzard has already come out and stated that they will refuse to change the charges on inner fire. They flat out said that if you dont keep inner fire up, youre bad and need to reroll.

EDIT: as soon as i saw the word "Holyform" everything youve done was null and void. Your time would have been better spent bashing on the way beyond dead horse.

lol, I did the same thing, I was lookin at the trees and saw IDS folded in, and was kinda like "Blizz won't like this"........ Then saw Holy Form and closed the page >.>

How about you actually read my post before you comment?

You posted this elsewhere and got mocked for it elsewhere. Reflective Aegis is still a bad idea, and so is anything with the word Holyform in it.

    Re: Posted this elsewhere, but...

I've updated it with fairly significant charges. Hopefully you'll like it better this time around.

I'll admit that the Holy tree isn't my strong point, and is still boring, but I've added a few things...

Here's a few examples of builds:

    PvE Disc:

    http://www.war-tools.com/t58135.html...1151423501e3zp

Or try and swap around talents for Surge of Light

    PvE Holy:

    PvE Shadow:

    http://www.war-tools.com/t58135.html...13251512301351

It's been a while since I've PvP'd, so please excuse my lack of possibly builds.
