You'll find the most "clouds" around wintergrasp.

In the 4 corners of the zone there is...
"earth zone" fire/wind/ice/shadow, each has clouds corresponding to the elements in that area.

If only engineering got some better BoP items and stuff compared to the other professions, these clouds would be a good reason to keep it.

Sadly for raiders, it's not a likely option :/

i raid..but i go with what i want.
sure i've seen all the awsome shit professions currently get, and i have wanted them, but i dont want to get rid of my engineering.
I just like it too much
I'll sacrifice a few stats to keep my fun items.

As an aside, veins in Northrend now drop all of the mote types with the possible exception of life/mana. Cobalt is Water and Earth, Saronite is Shadow and Earth, Titanium is Water, Fire, Air, Shadow & Earth.
