Dunno, I think affliction might be quite sick on target switching bosses as well, it means more dots and less shadow bolts.

On trash mobs affliction locks can also do Ton's of dps... All they have to do is throw up dots on 3 targets at once and keep updating them, maybe throwing a Haunt and Instant SB's every once in a while to keep corruption up and SE up.
And on bosses affliction is the best, especially where there is a lot of movement required or the fight is long.
Anyhow, I predict that once blizzard starts testing out dps both mages and warlocks will be nerfed until they do around the dps of a demo lock. Blizzard has already stated at multiple times that a lot of classes are doing absurd amounts of dps.

On current ptr destro build with using imp. "telling him to stop attacking for 15 seconds if he runs out of mana." Over the course of 2 min only buff firestone and fel armor.
Raid wise he gets the shaman totem buff too so that ups his dmg al lot
OK i have to apologize to ascote.. i did finally get on the PTR and i did find a good rotation for affliction. The ISB buff i was reading it wrong or they changed. it.. increases your shadow damge dealt by 10 percent UNTIL 4 non periodic sources of damage are dealt. So it shoudl affect dots but all my testing it did not. Also pandemic was hitting for 1 pt of damage on the ptr so thats a big loss of damage.. and everlasting affliction didnt increase any of those dots like it should.. and if you refersh them they start off at the lowest value not the highest like they are supposed too. i managed to pull 1600ish on a dummy with coa up and roughly the same with coe up.(not improved)
Your pandemic is bugged because the dummy's hp is 1. Can anyone here test a moonkin and a DK to see if their CoE like abilities lower spell resist as well?
Please post your spec. I plan on going fire destro lock, so, this is great.Originally Posted by Deox

for 80 just work your way down to the demon armor talent.
The rotation is.
(CoE/CoA) Immolate, Incinerate x 5, Life Tap, Conflagerate, Shadow Bolt x2, Chaos Bolt, Life Tap (this life tap will not be used in WotLK)
The other build (not shown above)

The cast rotation is
(CoE/CoA) Immolate, Incinerate x 3, Life Tap, Conflagerate, Shadow Bolt x2, Chaos Bolt
Honestly though, what do people think of this one?

The idea is to have succubus simply giving the master demonologist buff and staying put, this spec is a variation, a descendant of the sacrifice succy spec. Besides the obvious advantages of improved fel-armour plus fel vitality+demonic knowledge= imbaness spelldmg.

Yeah that might also work nicely, though there's actually a rotation, hm. Well, in either case, do you feel it could be *the* dps spec for lvl80? Imho, yes.
Sweet. thank you for this. = ]Originally Posted by Deox
I've upgraded the first build to now include corruption. It took me a while but I finally got it down.
(CoE/CoA) Immolate, corruption, Incinerate x 5, Life Tapx2(you have to conflag RIGHT AWAY), Conflagerate, Shadow Bolt x2, Chaos Bolt
same as before where after we get spirit gear we will not need the second life tap.
