You shouldn't roll Blacksmithing for the weapons.

    You should for sockets.

Here's a more precise Wowhead search:

    http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?items=2&fi...86;crs=2;crv=0

Wowhead must not have a complete list -- the filter is all BS crafted two-handers requiring at least level 71, but only four things show up...

2H weapons are not the only good thing that blacksmith's will be able to do in WotLK. There are various reasons on why people would roll blacksmith apart from the fact that you can make 2h Weapons.

First of all, depending on what class and spec you are, you would become an armoursmith and craft BoP gear in which you could use for tanking or even DPSing.

Secondly, the blacksmith's can add more sockets to gear pieces. There is a limit on these sockets to 3 sockets in your equipped gear. You can still add more sockets to gear that you alternate, for example PvE and PvP gear.

These sockets are also colourless, meaning that you can put whichever gem you desire into the gear.

Also the multiple BoE epics that will be available to make, this could be picked up for a moneymaking skill. As a blacksmith myself I have managed to make over 500g from crafting the one BoE epic pattern that I have. (Belt of the Guardian)

The thing with Blacksmithing, i'm a little confused on why the level 80 items are BOE, and all we're getting is a few gem slots.
It's a small bonus over other players, but i liked having my own unique weapon.

With some weapon recipes, they are still BOP (lvl 78 Rare weapons), but the epic ones are still BOE. Does this mean the lvl 80 BOP epic weapons haven't been found yet?

    Short answer is, nobody knows.

The Blacksmithing BoP weapons were never really a good idea. In the start of TBC they really kicked the shit out of any similiar items obtainable through either PVE or PVP, if you were a meele fighter you were almost forced to go BS to stay competative.

    Yes

The list on Wowhead is probably the most complete list available from Beta. This list includes absolutely no recipes for weaponsmith specialisation (specifically Axe, Mace or Sword) ... zip .. nadda, nothing. It has 2 (or 3) weapons which required weaponsmith. And one ...ONE ... item which requires that you are an Armoursmith, and that's a mid level 70's item.

The level 70 epic weapons (a handful of them) are BoE and trained from a BS trainer ... hardly what can be determined the pinnacle of epics, with Naxx 10 weapons already better.

I think it's VERY safe to say that BS (or any other profession for that matter) is either not completed yet, or what has been mined / discovered, is nowhere near what is available for detection in the game files.

I'm hoping we will still have a weapon which'll be BOP for lvl 80 Blacksmithing, aswell one for armor smith, well more like 3 for armorsmith (tank, healing, and dps). Would be nice for Weaponsmith aswell, tanking, 1h set-up (mace/sword/axe/dagger), and 2h set-up (sword/axe/mace).

I don't want it to be "OMG OP" like TBC, but one for progression, like one on level with Naxx, or first half of it. Then add a trainer in the 2nd progression instant with a weapon smith on that level (or upgrade again). Like Naxx had pre-tbc, they had a vendor inside the instance for the FR armor.

I'd like to see more recipes going about and being more useful in WOTLK. I did like the whole SSC/TK recipes they were interesting, but only a small handful were amazing (Red belt of battle and Belt of Blasting).

Guess we'll only see more recipes when it goes live or after the next patch, if they'll upgrade WOTLK beta with any last item testing.
