So how many of you are so stupid that you can't face the person you want to heal when using penance? LOL

Every other heal can be cast without facing the target. I used this a ton when I was on a crappy pc and we just entered kara (the stairs to moroes killed me). Every other damage spell does require you to face the target, this is true (besides dots), but they are talking about the healing portion of it, NOT the damage one.

I like it, but it drives me nuts when im in a bg and not facing the target, cause im looking at health bars normally I dont know where the people im healing are.

it has to be in front of target cause its a damage spell too, unless it was going to be something like star shards.

Still seems odd to me. In a BG or raid or whatever a friendly target can run behind you just the same as a hostile target, if they see the need to change the way one spell works why not the other. In my opinion both aspects should work the same.
