what rep do you need now for the shoulder/helm enchant for mages? and what do they do?

Start the questline in K3 that goes something along the lines of "Bring them Back" or "No man left behind." I forget off-hand but anyway, you will start a quest chain in the female Viking-like area that will give you the ability to shade-change into them (similar to Netherwing Island). This will lead to meeting Thorin (I think that is his name). He will give the initial rep and after a few more quests with him, you should be friendly with the sons. At which point, if you head to the east of the female Viking area, you will come across an area with giants/wolves and Ice-covered city. They will give a couple of quests that turn into dailies. Once you complete all of them, you can start farming the 2kish rep a day. Plus if you see mini-crystals in that area, pick them up. They are similar to the Netherwing eggs in that they give extra rep.
