Gems?

I'm just doing this outta curiosity, but what're your takes on gems for each spec?

For example: Does Holy put Int or Crit into the yellow slots, or go with an orange or even a blue?

Just kinda curious to see where everyone's at, that's all.

My guess for shadow would be:
Red: SP + hit (or crit if capped)
Yellow: Hit (or crit if capped)
Blue: Spirit (Twisted Faith, Glyph of Shadows, Imp Spirit Tap -and- Meditation)

I dunno, what're your takes on Holy/Disc/Shadow?

what would b a decent amount of spirit for a raiding shadowpriest? atm im gearing for sp/crit/haste and im not carrying too many items with spirit

shadow should be stacking hit gems until capped (290) then 19 spell power unless the bonus is worth getting or you need a blue for a meta in which case it should be 9 spellpower/8 crit or 9 spellpower/8 spirit.

spirit is very important for a shadow priest given that we need the personal regen we now need.

I started with 300 and was really struggling to last the fight. now I'm on close to 500 and things are a lot better. I'm rarely panicing willing fiend/dispersion off CD.

U do know int>spi as far as mana regen goes?

And haste gets waay better the more spp u got, and 2k spp aint hard to get so if u can manage ur mana without problems go for haste over crit.

U only need 2 blue gems for the meta so when that is covered gem spp, spp and spp.

- 2 blue, either Purified Shadow Crystal or Intricate Dark Jade (Pick Perfect ones if you can affort it).
- Rest 19 SP. I wouldn't say it's worth gemming hit atm, with the hit bug.
- Potent Monarch Topaz for the T7 headpiece.

If you got over 2000 SP unbuffed (without Inner Fire), consider gemming Crit instead of just SP.

And if you're a JC, use Prismatic gems instead of the blue ofcource :-)

Hit is to ambigious, bad suggestion. Atleast give a alternative if you have to post suggestions.

Nezoia is right, as Hit rating isn't working properly for now, it's not that worth to gem for it.

And as Shadowpriest you want to use Chaotic Skyflare Diamond for meta socket. Use Misty Forest Emerald when you need to apply gems to your meta slot.

Perfect Misty Dark Jade is a decent selection for a blue requirement in a yellow slot. Yes the PP on the gem its self is low, but if it picks you up a large crit rating from a socket bonus, and the meta benefit your better off.

red: spellpower
yellow: spellpower + crit
blue spellpower + spirit (rare version not availiable yet) so put the perfect uncommon in it or get ther rare spellpower + mp5
if socket bonus is crap put in blue socktes red gems with spellpower

assumed u are hitcapped
