Did they even bother to remove the Pain Suppression effect on enemies yet?

The fact that after two months of having the spell, noone has noticed makes me a little sad.
Because that means that noone actually lived long enough to cast both until now.

How did you live that long anyway?

    Re: So, about Divine Hymn

As long as they share the same cooldown it doesn't matter that they (if even) share the same diminishing returns:

Fear has 8 seconds duration, 23 seconds cooldown with talents + gloves.
Divine Hymn has 10 seconds duration, 6 minutes cooldown.

You fear them for 8 seconds, Divine Hymn gets a 30 seconds cooldown, no chance in hell that you can have diminishing returns there because 15 seconds after the spell ends they get reset.

You Divine Hymn them for 10 seconds. Fear gets a 30 seconds (or is it 23 then? Only tried it once when I was disc specced) cooldown. Again, the first time you can fear them is 20 seconds after the spell broke. Of if the CD is 23 seconds (which I don't think) 13 seconds - only then could you have diminishing returns.

Except there have been multiple cases where I somehow survived long enough to Fear twice, then Hymn after both fears. The Hymn lasted ~3 seconds every time. It wasn't removed forcefully, it dropped off all the targets at the same time. Definitely diminished.

You're wrong about how long it takes for diminishing return to wear off. According to your logic, if your first fear is instantly trinketed, your second fear will be full duration. I assure you, it isn't.

    Re: So, about Divine Hymn

I was going by the wowwiki definition for DRs:
Diminishing returns means that certain spells and abilities are less effective against player characters if they are used frequently within a short period of time. The table to the right contains a list of abilities that are affected by DR, and under what circumstances. In addition DR categories are listed. Effects within same category diminish each other.

From the official 1.4 release patch notes:

    * When a spell with diminishing returns is used against a target in PvP, the first effect has full duration.
    * On the second use of the same category of spell (e.g. slowing), that spell's duration is reduced by 50%.
    * On the third use, the duration is reduced by 75%.
    * On the fourth attempt, the target becomes immune to the spell.
    * Spells must be used on the same target within 15 seconds of the *end* of the duration in order to be diminished. In other words, if a target hasn't had a slowing spell active on them for more than 15 seconds, the next slowing spell will have full effect.

Some abilities share diminishing returns, — that is, it doesn't matter which one you use; the next time you use an ability in the same category on the same target, its duration will be diminished just as if you had used the exact same ability. These abiltiies are the Rogue abilities Gouge and Sap; the Warlock spells Fear, Howl of Terror, and Seduction; and the Warrior abilities Charge, Concussion Blow, and Intercept.
Anyway at the time it doesn't really matter for you won't live long enough to get out another fear or DH.

Yeah sure a 1,5 second casttime aoe hot that scales incredibly bad with spellpower and has a 6 MINUTES cooldown is now a viable alternative to CoH which has a 6 seconds cooldown and is still instant and scales better with spellpower.
