well hybrids are hybrids , you can't expect to have a weapon tailored to your needs ... now take a flash back and post the pve weapons you had in early SSC/TK/BT/MH and then we can talk abouth unfair.

There is no such thing as Hybrids anymore, nor is there Hybrid gear. And well, here's from TBC:

the weapons you posted were not in the time frame i said , you had the KZ dagger + badges OH (the staff was terribad) , the Lower city mace (badges OH) , and najentus dagger . Atm you can get your second best mace in the scrub 10 so we are actualy abit bether (not that much tho) Yes there is no more hybrid gear but there is hybrid classes , whit the dps boost prety much all hybrid got the so called pure dps classes will allways have tailored weapons , we wont.

I don't think items need to be created to pander to every class/spec absolute best gear possible... there isn't that much difference between the mace and sword anyways... if u have the aboslutely best gear you won't notice 34 crit rating and it certainly won't stop you being near the top of the dps charts or clearing the current content.

The fun in items is the choice you have to make with which stats you want the most.

Seems like a lot of choices to me. You can argue that some of those are not shadow priest items but who's to say? Maybe you have hit rating on a lot of your other gear so you can sacrifice the hit to get more spell power, crit, haste, or mana regen instead. I don't see a lack of variety in any case.

It's always the sword that's the best caster weapon (tempest of chaos, before swp) and I doubt it'll change anytime soon. Yea, it's unfair and we're not hybrids.

Why don't they make a pure crit haste mace (without mp5) that is equal to the sword. It could be used by Holy paladins, Shadow priests, Resto/Ele shamans and boomkins. To be honest why do they even bother with mp5 on weapons/rings/neck/cloaks only resto shaman and to a lesser extent holy paladins care about mp5.

so , your preist dosent have a holy/disc tree? or even have a few heals hotkeyed?

there is no logical reason why a spec/'s should be worthy of a weapon. People are just to pushy and demanding taking into acount that this is the start of a Xpac and alot more content is yet to come.

Are you seriously crying over a weapon because its got like .6% less crit BUT has 15 more mp5? ... Just seem odd to me. Its not a severly crippled weapon, just you going overboard over loosing a little crit.

Only problem I have with it is after having a 'mp5 is healer priority' is going to be spending 2 minutes discussing with the raid leader why I should get a dkp bid on it when I shouldn't have to even say anything for a best in slot item.

This is ofc assuming the damn thing is going to drop...O hi feral staff...

Yeah cause that sword isn't the ultimate in itemisation for holy paladins...o wait...

Not the same because mp5 is wasted on dps casters (last time I went oom was 3 chain mana burns on KT and I used a pot).

The mace isn't perfectly itemised for anyone, priests and druids want spirit and maybe crit for disc, paladins want crit, shamans maybe but that's pushing it.

The Mace is clearly intended as a HEALING spellpower item.
The Sword is clearly intended as a DPS spellpower item.


This comparison is apples to oranges, and yes it sucks that moonkin/ele shamans/spriests get a slightly less ideal top weapon, but a lot of resto shamans, druids, and holy/disc priests would have the same right to whine and complain if there wasn't a top end spellpower weapon itemized for healers.


Really, beg for them to add a dagger, don't act like high spellpower items should only be itemized for dps.

- Int.
- Crit.
- Spell Power.
- Haste
