Ritual of summoning working in the US but not EU?

From what I've read on the US-boards the ritual seems to be working, but currently on the EU-servers it's impossible to summon someone unless they're standing right next to you.

yes, i have that problem too. the stone/portal looks really nice, but no one can operate it.
now no summons at all!!!

on eu servers this also applies to summoning stones for instances/raids

When the patch first landed in US it didnt work either, needed a hotfix to server to enable the patched client. Dunno if this is the same problem tho, fact stones are borked suggests a bigger issue. ???

spoke to a GM on my server today , they hope to get it fixed during the night.....
