    Kinda new as boomkin

So, as the topic says, I'm pretty new as boomkin. Just started raid as that. Last night in 25m Naxx I did pretty awful dmg overall. Really dont know what's wrong. I was way behind almost everyone. Posted dmg overall after the full run, and I was found on last place. Well, need some huge upgrades. But still, feels like I should do alot more dmg. My rotation is: IS - MF - Wrath until eclipse proccs - SF through whole eclipse+SF until Eclipse CD is done. And the over again. Any suggestions on something to change on my current specc? Gems? I also know my current hit is kinda low, but the trinket from VH hc should do it.
My avarage dps on bosses was like 2400(without heroism ofc).

Actually, I really get what you tryin to say.
I got around 2.8 - 3.4k dps on naxx fights (not patchwork).

I really don't get why I'm loosing soooo much dps over time.

    - Stack Dots (keep up)
    - Proc SF with Wrath spam
    - SF till eclipse CD is up again

The only thing I can imagine is, that I sometimes forget to reapply dots or something.

I also don't reapply them durin eclipse and I ofc read the gray matter moonkin blog all the time.

    So, suggestions?

    Re: Kinda new as boomkin

I found this thread useful, however I have yet to be a Moonkin at 80 to know if this guy knows his stuff.

I've seen some other good Moonkin resources out there, but I can't find them at the moment.

    Re: Kinda new as boomkin

Your rotation seems fine--get squak and awe (amazing addon) to count the internal cooldown on eclipse.
Tier bonus will increase your dmg by alot(you can get setbonus through badges too)--Use the +SP/hit rating for red gem slots until you reach hit cap. 341 without misery(or I-FF talent) 262.3~ with it. unless if you have a dranei in your group(not raid--group).
Your talents need a little tweaking here and there--I'd take 2 points from moonglow put into improved moonfire--go into our (kinda ok) starfall talent.(slightly more dps on a boss) Take pts out of natures focus--and put into MOTW, (new patch will also make that 2% to stats) No pts in naturalist--put them into Natural shapeshifter and master shape shifter.
Intensity is nice--but in its current form with 25mans you shouldn't have mana problems so you can take 1 or 2 points out of it. Truth be told during a fight with at least 2-3 forms of replenishment in the raid (which hopefully you have) as well as pld judgments.
Another way to up dps--is make sure your trees receive bloodlust (or heroism for you silly nightelf)
As for major glyphs, use Starfire, Insect swarm , and Moonfire.

    Re: Kinda new as boomkin

Hit rating for you is the biggest issue i guess. And all these mp5, not any dps improvement

    Re: Kinda new as boomkin

What are you taking 300 hit for ? As a moonkin, you have 4% from BoP and 3% from iFF/Misery, so you only need 10%/9% total hit.
iFF is a talent every moonkin should have : it's a good raid buff if there are no ferals or sp and it's a good single target dps increase (3% crit on all spells for free) if you have both in your raid. The only reason not to take it is having an sp and no physical dps at all (or if it's a hunter that provides the armor debuff).
