    Main shaman enchant question(WF thread)

Should WF scale with ap?...... I think it should scale with ap and spell dmg since shamans are hybrids.... let's say 50% ap and 50% spelldmg scalling... what you guys think?... that way no one will be mad when a shaman whould chose a 2hand weapon with wf enchant or dual wield with WF/FT weapon

It does scale with AP. The more AP you have the harder your weapon hits. Since WF procs 2 additional weapon hits, WF damage is increased as your AP increases.

It does not scale with spell power. It does scale with your weapon's damage though.

WF already scales with AP, its a physical attack so it shouldnt scale with Spell Power.

If this is the kind of thing you are thinking about (ie: "omg WF should scale"), you should probably read up more on your class/spec.

    edit:
about the DW vs 2hand thing, its not a "scaling" issue that makes 2h worse than DW, its a proc chance. Blizzard has yet to figure out how to make 2h WF work and be competitive with DW.

i think he means something along the lines of:

"Imbue the Shaman's weapon with wind. Each hit has a 20% chance of dealing additional damage equal to two extra attacks with 25% extra attack power. "
    It's just a game.

Don't get it confused. They know how to make 2H work with WF and be competitive with DW.

Fact is that they don't want it to work or be competitive, so it's not.

the extra swings already being 140% weapon damage isnt enough?

    bad baaaaad blizzard...

why the heck shouldnt they want this? competitive means EQUAL or very close, so theres no buff to shamans, no nerf to shamans, no nothin except they can raid with 2handers. Yeah Blizzard is doing this just to annoy you poor little kid,go to sleep and spread your conspiratic theories elsewhereQQ

Blizz should make WF an instant attack. The same 2 extra attacks but a use.

Maybe they could make the target of it take additional nature damage afterwards too, and give it a new name and a talent to improve it while they're at it.
Actually, Mr. Lennon, I CAN imagine a world with no hatred, religion, war, or violence.
I can also imagine attacking such a world, because they would never see it coming.

In order for WF to be viable for 2h they'd need to up the %
but its obvious they just dont wanna see us dropping people in 2 secs like vanilla wow
that spot is already saved for retadins and DKs
