    Disc PvP spec idea

    I have a few build ideas for disc in PvP. Basically this build is going to focus on the penance spell, not just the healing, but damage too. I really have no idea if it would work or not, and i kinda just threw it together really fast.

    There are some talents that could be switched around, and tweaked ofc. im actually not even playing right now. i quit when i got to 80 and realized how bad pvp was. but this next patch might make it fun again. (specially if something fixes all the bg problems... yea right)

    are these builds even viable?

    I just realized there isn't any +hit in this spec, but then again u wouldn't be doing the main damage, just assisting with it. kind of like the hybrid holy/ret build for pallys. (but not as good) lol

    I like this build too because of blessed recovery. Since it stacks, and its basically a free heal while stunned there is also one point i have left for something else.

    These specs are fairly decent, and actually quite popular -
    Speccing into a few damage talents makes sense, as there are times when a Holyfiresmite burst really helps.
    Disc priests are offensive healers in pvp, considering our role to MB / Dispel.
    We're not meant to spamheal a single target.

    This is actually really similar to what I have and it's been pretty good for me. I prioritize healing and only attack when everybody around me is in a good spot. In BG I typically end up top 3 in healing (usually top 2) but with significantly higher total damage and kills than any of the other healers.

    It usually looks something like this:
    Top Healer (in terms of total heals) - 350K healing, 40K damage
    Me - 320K healing, 150K damage
    3rd healer - 300K healing, 60K damage

    I tend to look at things from more of a plus/minus perspective so I figure I'm contributing a 320+150=470 impact to the entire BG compared to 350+40=390 impact. Granted this isn't always the best way to look at it, but over the long run it's a positive.

    Basically, speccing into damage talents will make you a less effective healer (since those points could go into healing talents) but a more effective overall player which is what really matters.
