    Professions for a Warrior?

so i started a new warrior
im wondering which professions i should do
    i want 1 gathering
    and 1 crafting

gathering will have to gather the mats of the crafting
what i want with crafting is
to help me make money/good end raid benefits/not hard to lvl up

    im thinking Herb/Inscription
    or Mining/JC
anyone one else have a good idea?
no im not always gonna put in a lot of thought when i post
and not all my posts are serious/true

    Mining/JC or Mining/BS.

All of the warriors in my guild are JC/BS. They all have mining alts though.

I think Mining / JC is the best you can do. DPS-, Tank- and Gold-wise.
I posted in the legendary "I found Yogg-Saron" thread and all I got was this lousy signature.

    Re: Professions for a Warrior?

i went from the most useless profession "engineering" to BS. Mostly for the glove and wrist socket addition. I also mine. This helped me get my epic crafting items at 80 to get into naxx faster.

SO, as other posts state, i would go with BS/JC if you have someone or another toon to mine for you.

Again the main reason i went with BS was the extra socket bonus to gloves and wrists.

JCers have some sweet gems only they can use. SOoooo put 2 and 2 together

    GL and have fun

JC is a great profession because not only you get good bonuses from the gems but the prismatics allow you to fulfill your meta requirement without having to use subpar gems :P

It's also a good money maker.

My warrior has Mining/BS and I'm very happy with it. I would suggest that or JC/Mining which can also bring in loads of gold. But I would recomend JC/BS if you were going for 2 Crafting.

My warrior's mining/BS. My shaman's JC/enchanting. That combo makes mad money.

I am a tank and I have found Mining and Enchanting to be very profitable. It works out well because I can mine ores, sell them, use the eternals to a friend make cheap rings to disenchant into mats for Enchanting. And now that you can sell Enchants on vellums, AH is a virtual Craigslist. I have made tens of thousands over the last few months.

Engineering on my prot warrior, find it very fun as Engineerer, lots of aoe damage, and tinkers.

    My Armory
    TBH, I really like cookies.

    Re: Professions for a Warrior?

    Depends.

If you're going to raid hard (I.E. be flasked) consistently:

    • Alchemy/something (Mixology (+80 AP / 300 hit points) + 100% duration on flasks)

    If you're a main-spec tank:

    • Mining/something (+500 hit points)

    If you're main-spec Arms:

    • Engineering/something (mobility, cooldowns, AoE (all of which Arms needs))

    If you're main-spec Fury:

    • Jewelcrafting/something (more strength from strength gems (since Fury scales so well with strength))

    Mining Engineering <3
    It's just a game.

    Re: Professions for a Warrior?

For PvE, if you don't want to go with two crafting professions, Mining/Jewelcrafting is the way to go for any spec. For PvP... I have no clue.

    Re: Professions for a Warrior?

Assuming you had the mats for it reserved, BS+JC is the best combo still even with the impeding JC nerf.

Arms-Can socket for ArP in 2 more slots, big gems.
Fury-Same as strength, enchanting/LW/etc etc don't have a Str bonus, big gems
Prot-2 free sockets balance out to mining bonus, same as JC

    Re: Professions for a Warrior?

im a scribe/herbalism atm, (as fury) and i cant count the times it saved my life to have 2 HoT's if i get aggro.
inscription are okai atm, the shoulderenchants are slightly better than the rep ones, they will be increased in the patch however, im not sure how much. :

    Re: Professions for a Warrior?

I never seen the one crafting/gathering prof. I would suggest either mining/BS or mining/JC. Mining/JC is probably best due to the availability of good tanking trinkets and big gems are just fun =D
