Surprisingly, the loot ilvl isntt higher than the one on the other bosses (ilvl 226 on Armor and ilvl 232 on Weapons). It looks like Blizzard wants players to run hard-modes for the higher tier of gear and not just complete the instance in easy mode.

Yogg Loot same iLvL then other bosses -> that means ilvl difference in ulduar is only normal/hardmode not normal boss/yogg+algalon.

Instances nowadays are balanced around the fact that every normal guild should be able to down all bosses, not just the top 5% guilds.

This is why there are hard modes for the top 5% guilds so they can do those and gain extra loot and with ulduar, even an extra boss.

Ulduar normal mode was never meant to be super hard, so naturally top end guilds were bound to clear it fast.
