Re: [Guide] How to CLEAN your system from keyloggers

Um, I thought Keyloggers weren't so easy to remove, with just a scan. I had formatted my PC in order to remove it, and there wasn't any other way.

Of course I must say this is really delicious, as people posting on your threads are confirming it works. Good job mate!

Re: [Guide] How to CLEAN your system from keyloggers

ANYTHING CAN be removed.... its just a question of knowing exactly what you need to remove and where it is (and any copies of it etc...)

I've never heard of ATF-Cleaner myself.... and cirtainly never heard of a program thats ment to help you and stops .css being used....

So I will recomend CCleaner ( http://www.ccleaner.com/ ) which is something I have been using for quite some time now with no problems at all.

Other than that nice post OP, not something many people bother taking the time to do, mainly becuase most people who know how think its general knowledge kinda stuff.

On a side note.... no. Simply stating 'stop downloading warez, porn etc...' doesnt help besides i'm sure a good portion of us do this and have no problems. It's just about paying attention to what you see on a site.

lol @ the guy who said to just get a mac.

look, macs don't have -viruses-. they still have keyloggers and spyware. those still work on them. so no, you can't get a mac and just be set for life.

Re: [Guide] How to CLEAN your system from keyloggers

I ran the ATF thingy for Firefox and Internet Explorer.
Now I can't watch; warcraftmovies.com, BBC iPlayer, any Live Streams etc.
Basically ANY movie or video online. Hell, I can't even get onto youtube.

Really, really, really would like to know wtf happened and how the fudge do I sort it out?

Tried disabling add-ons, restarting Firefox, restarting my PC even re-formatting my PC and it STILL doesn't work.

Would like a fast reply please.

    No.. It won't.
Any self respecting trojan virus writer will check your copy buffer as well. And indeed, send it to the creator of the trojan.
Can a keylogger see the username that is already saved and therefore never gets typed again?

Can a key loger see mouse clicks?

Re: [Guide] How to CLEAN your system from keyloggers

Don't usually reply here, not that active on the forums... but just answering a few questions I see

@Doggy, if reformatting didn't work I doubt it is ATF cleaner.. formatting removes EVERYTHING and requires you to reinstall every single thing; that means it is as if ATF cleaner was never used. All I can suggest is to try to reinstall IE/Firefox/Chrome/w/e browser you have, and reinstall Flash Player for your browser...

@Ntrails: Yes they can, modern keyloggers don't actually log the keys, but it logs the data that is send and intercepts it... basically:

Normally: You --> Sending Pass/Login to Blizzard --> Login confirmed --> Login
Keylogger: You --> Sending Pass/login to keylogger people --> Sending pass/login to Blizzard --> Login confirmed --> login

(Really simplistic version of it, but that's how it works)

Better becareful from now on, got hacked just tonight. Found a .dll file upon doing a system scan with avast. The hackers are becoming more crafty these days.

And yes. ATF cleaner kinda screwed my Firefox.

Hiya, I still don't get why ATF Cleaner is doing this, but I've quickly updated it with CCleaner, that shouldn't give this problem.

Also, I'll try to update the page with new screenshots/links soonish

Do you guys know if that new Panda Cloud Anti-Virus is any good? The idea behind it is awesome but does anyone actually know if it works nice and it's actually doing what it's suppose to?
