2 best trinkets for ret pally?

Hands down the Darkmoon Card: Greatness is the best for ret paladins.

But what about second trinket? For pve I was thinking Fury of the Five Flights or the 2 trinkets in ulduar that give hit rating/procs of 1200ish AP, due to all the gear in Ulduar being armor pen/no haste not much hit, so the hit would make it so I didnt have to socket hit in every gem almost, plus burst is fun.....

It depends on your gear and what stats you need. If you are covered for Hit due to the other gear you were to get the value of trinkets drastically changes. The best trinket awards the most DPS from its proc/use while allowing you to reach the set values needed in Hit and Expertise. If you have those grab whatever generates the highest value of attack power and critical combination for you.

Only if you need that much hit. It's unlikely.

FotFF and Wrathstone are probably better, assuming you're hitcapped elsewhere.

Also, I can't recommend MaxDPS other than as a tool to glance at some possible upgrades. Use Rawr or one of the spreadsheets available on elitistjerks for more accurate results.

FOTFF is and stays situational. it still needs some effort to keep the stacks up. id have to say that wrathstone is probably better if you look at the general picture. you can macro it with AW for extra dmg.

I'll prefer wrathstone too since i like that it is a use effect i can put on when i need it most. As previous poster said, macroed with AW its awesomesauce.

DMC:G + Wrathstone. I used to use FotFF as well but the chances of the stacks being dropped are rather high on certain bosses. And according to RAWR and my setup, Wrathstone with 1 use is > FotFF. And since most fights are longer than 3 mins, Wrathstone for sure is the better choice.

because it doesn't take the rest of your gear into account
because it over values hit
because it isn't updated enough to be accurate
because it has some known math issues causing some stats to be over itemized
because it does not take any "caps" into consideration
because RAWR is so easy to get and use and yields much better results that using maxdps is just lazy and careless.

One reason is that is says that Stylish Power Cape > Drape of the Drakerider which is completely wrong considering the only thing it has on it is 7 more armor pen which is our worst stat. A good amount is right but you have to loot at all the gear on the top of the list to determine if it's good or bad.

as much hit as there is on the armor getting more hit on trinkets is a complete waste, either get FotFF or Wrathstone.

I know there are fights in Naxx where you can lose your stacks from FotFF, but really how many are there in Uldaur? The only fights I can think of off the top of my head are Razorscale, Iron Council, and maybe Mimiron. Even for these fights though you have a pretty rare chance of you losing your 20 stacks from FotFF, there is just the chance you could.

Not saying Wrathstone isn't good for these few fights where you might lose your stacks from FotFF, just pointing out it has pretty limited use.

Mirror + greatness is better than anything out of ulduar with the exception of Greatness + wrathstone.
